Operations Manager, Contract Manufacturing

Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) Operations Manager, Contract Manufacturing! We're a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing overall contract manufacturing operations along with leading a team of 3-4 contract manufacturing analysts. You will coordinate Contract Manufacturing production requirements, support new product initiatives, and coordinate supply planning needs. You will also lead process improvement initiatives, cost optimization opportunities, and cost negotiation to drive operation efficiency. Additionally, you will manage financial reporting, budgeting activities, and inventory reconciliation support.

A Day in the Life...

• Manage the team by setting objectives/metrics for the group; tracking performance; coaching and mentoring; delivering feedback to the employees.

• Responsible for process improvement methodologies, root cause analysis, recommendations to management of systemic changes and support mechanisms to improve results via work processes and systems.

• Responsible for incorporating materials management, system master data maintenance, BOM Maintenance, and contract packaging supply and material planning. Coordinate supply planning process between Demand Planning organization and contract manufacturers.

• Establish and achieve supply chain service, cost, and inventory objectives. Ensure knowledge of work processes that deliver those results. Establishes process measures that reliably predict performance.

• Responsible for the overall operations management, financial and contract administration of the contract manufacturing/strategic alliance network.

• Optimize the contract manufacturing network to ensure manufacturing capability exists within the system to deliver Ocean Spray products that meet quality specifications and service levels within the desired timeframes as specified by the Manugistics systems.

• Perform budgeting, financial analysis and reporting, tracking, reconciliation, systems support and integration.

• Provide systems and process improvement support to contract manufacturers, identify cost optimization opportunities for each co-packer.

What We Are Looking For:

Required

• Experience in operations with food and beverage organization

• Experience and understanding of operations planning and MRP

• Experience in Supply Planning, Inventory Control, Replenishment, Customer service, Demand Planning, Procurement, Materials Planning with Knowledge of manufacturing process

• Strong operations and financial background

• Working knowledge of SAP/Oracle and MS Office (specifically Excel)

• Experience in project management

• Results-oriented, self-starter

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Highly organized

• Comfortable working in ambiguity

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Preferred)
