Manage Mining Service operations to ensure safety and financial targets are achieved/exceeded.
Oversee construction equipment Service and Parts operations.
Aid in recruitment and training of skilled mining and construction technicians.
Work directly with account managers and customers to understand quality, cost and delivery expectations and create quotes in total alignment.
Ensure 100% compliance with Komatsu rebuild and manufacturing operating procedures and drawing requirements.
Drive competency and development program for team and ensure all welding and other certifications are current according to Company SOP.
Daily use of SAP to plan service and maintenance orders and ensure execution to plan and budget.
Execute daily operations in line with safety program, expense and sales budgets.
Conduct weekly safety meetings and make sure employees follow all safety guidelines, regulations and act in a safe manner. Drive a culture where everyone is responsible for their own safety and the safety of others.
Continuously evaluate operations, looking for waste, and develop initiatives to eliminate waste and increase overall efficiency. Optimize capacity through rigorous PM program ensuring work centers are available as required to meet customer and operational targets.
Education / Qualification
A degree in welding engineering, metallurgy or a related field; or a minimum of 10 years welding experience in a heavy OEM fabrication/repair environment and a minimum of 3 years' experience managing/supervising heavy fabrication/rebuild operations.
Exceptional communication skills - phone, face to face and written.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Microsoft Office Suite and SAP experience highly preferred.
