Operations Manager Manufacturing
Manages production staff in all aspects of product manufacturing including equipment maintenance.
Directs and coordinates production functions including: safety, quality, service, training, housekeeping, associate development, discipline/discharge, labor relations, product cost improvement, equipment maintenance, new product introductions.
What a Manufacturing Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Ensures timely manufacturing of products to satisfy customer service and quality requirements.
Ensures that a plant working environment exists that maintains and improves employee safety, morale, and communication.
Works with the Quality and Human Resources Departments to assure the plant meets or exceeds government requirements under OSHA, GMP's, EEOC, EPA, etc.
Manages expense spending in manufacturing and continuously identifies and implements product cost reductions.
Develops manufacturing Associates, salaried and hourly, to assure personal growth and meet future business needs.
Ensures Plant appearance/housekeeping meets all standards.
Supports new product initiatives, equipment upgrades, etc. to ensure their successful implementation within manufacturing.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
A minimum of 4+ years related work experience preferred, including 1+ year supervisory experience.
Demonstrated success in managing people and leading multiples teams and/or departments.
Strong communication skills.
Demonstrated success in achieving results along with strong financial acumen and project management.
