We are looking for an Operations Manager for our Value-Added Partner (VAP) & Channel (Indirect Channel) partners in our Siemens Building Products (BP) group. This position will be remote within the United States.

Position Overview:

As an Operations Manager you will provide product, technical sales, and application expertise related to the Life Sciences/Healthcare market channels and Siemens Critical Environments (CE) product line. This position is a first-line management position in Operations, responsible for consulting, training, and supporting Siemens Value Added Partners (VAPs) owners and their operations staff, providing expertise and leadership in the successful and profitable engineering, installation, and commissioning service of (BP). Support the VAP channel revenue target by improving operations' efficiency and onboarding new dealers using Siemens TALON and Desigo Automation product lines. Support BP Systems (BACnet / LON): Tridium Niagara, Gamma, Desigo, Critical Environments, and legacy products along with a detailed understanding and experience with day-to-day VAP operations and in-depth job understanding (i.e., project management, engineering, commissioning, etc.). Provide technical sales assistance to VAP Sales and Operations personnel for discussions with either customers or specifying engineers to promote Siemens or help close sales. This person will report to the Sr. National Operations Manager and will have no direct reports.

You will make an impact by:

  • Responsible for all VAPs in assigned territory and teams with the territory sales manager.

  • Assisting VAP operations personnel in cost and quality control for all operations activities.

  • Assisting VAP Owners/Managers and other operations personnel in the accurate implementation of new and existing CPS controls products, tools, processes, and workflows to ensure maximum operational efficiency and improved customer satisfaction.

  • Providing training to VAPs in the application of new products and existing products where required.

  • Acting as the voice of the customer providing input and support to home office departments regarding improvements to products, tools, training, and documentation.

  • Training as required for Project Management with regards to planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling. Assist VAPs with eliminating cost overruns and improving efficiency by using standards and workflows.

  • Reviewing and assessing new potential VAPs, responsible for training and development of new VAPs.

  • Responsibility is primarily tactical/operational in nature but greatly impacts overall strategy.

You will win us over by having the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a concentration in engineering.

  • 10+ years' experience required in field operations or engineering role working with Value Added Partners or distributors.

  • 5+ years of technical and management experience preferred, preferably in a field office in the HVAC industry.

  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.

  • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5+ years of AutoCAD experience a plus.

  • Solid understanding of the HVAC industry.

  • Experience in an HVAC training role a plus.

  • Extensive experience working with or for independent HVAC distributors is a plus.

  • Proven communication and presentation skills. Self-motivated teammate with the ability to work independently.

The pay range for this position is $88,340-$151,440 TMR high and the annual incentive target that will 10% of the base pay. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
