The AppleCare Logistics team is a highly motivated, fast-pace, dynamic organization that is responsible for Apple's reverse logistics service operation in the Americas region. The team manages a number of Distribution Centers and 3PL (third party logistics) partners in multiple countries in the AMR region and delivers industry-leading service to our customers. We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee and manage all logistics, screening and repair activities, and related systems information in a dynamic fast paced service returns environment.
10+ years reverse logistics, test and repair operations experience Proven experience developing and implementing logistics plans, budgets and procedures to maximize compliance with customer needs and within budget constraints Extensive management and leadership experience managing exempt and non-exempt teams, with the ability to identify, inspire, coach, and develop talent Strong business partner who can align across shift activities to meet operational objectives Ability to interact effectively with vendors and cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales, Finance, Materials, and Planning to optimize systems and procedures Strong tactical execution and coordination experience Strong financial reporting and reconciliation of inventories experience Willingness to support operations across a two shift workforce Ability to make decisions with imperfect information
As the Operations Manager for the AppleCare Logistics team, you will be responsible for management of logistics related to supply chain services, inventory control, test and repair, critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products from place of origin to point of delivery, third-party warehousing, and shipping/receiving activities. You'll be working in a dynamic and fast paced environment and responsible for overall resource utilization to meet schedules and goals.
Collaborates with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Product Development to optimize systems and procedures.
Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures for test and repair operations.
Analyzes operations data and current business trends to develop longer term strategic objectives.
Develops and drives the team to achieve established goals and objectives.
Bachelors degree or 10+ years management experience in reverse logistics, test and repair operations environment
