Job Description:

Manages team performance to achieve or exceed established goals. Proactively monitors

daily activities of direct reports. Implements and executes established business strategies.

Manages workflow through the delegation and reassignment of work activities. Develop

contests and awards that increase agents loyalty and focus.

Manages a team of call center agents with responsibility for hire/fire decisions, performance

appraisals, and pay decisions.

Provides guidance to employees on how to handle challenging issues. Utilizes discretionary

authority to approve exceptions to procedures to resolve escalated issues. Monitors feedback

on a regular basis and escalates issues as appropriate. Maintains emotional consistency during

times of ambiguity

Performs general administrative tasks including: timekeeping, Workday transactions, access

requests, etc.

Recommends improvements to processes and procedures to improve overall performance,

results, and customer experience. Supports and drives change initiatives.

Document coaching, counseling and corrective action of direct reports. Ensures that

activities of the team are in compliance with company policies and procedures, and

applicable local, state, and federal laws.

Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.

Skills:

  • Individuals enrolled in an accredited bachelors or masters program with graduation between fall term 2017 and spring term 2019.

  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA on 4.0 grade point average scale.

  • Open to all majors, business or related discipline preferred.

VIEW JOBS 1/6/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-06T00:00 Job Description Transmissison Projects QAQC department Position Summary: Assist with providing a framework for Quality Planning, Quality Assurance and Quality Control for AEP Transmission Project Management. Assure data accuracy, consistency and integrity within the Transmission Project Management Systems, specifically Ecosys. Act as Product Owner for the EcoSys application and communicate business needs and expectations to IT. Additional responsibilities include monitoring adherence of Project Management Teams (PMT) to the approved Project Lifecycle Management Processes (PLMP). Principal Accountabilities:   1. Provide effective leadership, team building and meeting management associated with project cost as outlined in PMBOK and the AEP leadership competencies and values. 2. Provide oversight of Project Management processes and recommend controls or other process changes to assure accurate cost information. 3. Identify quality improvement measures and work with management to implement. 4. Provide framework for enforcing data integrity rules during data entry. 5. Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system. Recommend and implement improvements as required. 6. Collaborate with Project Management and Business Operations to define and monitor macro and micro performance metrics to measure process/productivity improvement effectiveness. 7. Provide an objective view to ensure the metrics are driving correct behavior across the broader organization. 8. Provide on-going continuous improvement support as needed in collaboration with all departments. 9. Collaborate with Schedule Governance lead within the QA/QC department to ensure that cost and schedule processes are aligned. 10. Develop and provide clear and concise written status reports with observations and recommendations to Regional Project Management Directors and other levels of Management as needed so that corrective measures can be identified and executed on. 11. Facilitate the cultural desire within the organization to share and adopt best practices across AEP Transmission. 12. Perform and develop quality audits to ensure the PMT is coordinating as a unit to establish original baseline budgets inside EcoSys that are time-phased with dates from the P6 schedule, executing the Baseline Sign-Off process and performing the month-end forecast process that is time-phased with dates from the P6 schedule. 13. Provide leadership and training for Project Management on Ecosys and other systems and on how to analyze month-end standard reports.  American Electic Power New Albany OH
