  • Provide day to day leadership to the Operations Leads, Group Leaders, and Team members

  • Communicate shift activities to Operations Leads, Group Leaders, and other team members on a routine basis.

  • Assist in developing the production build plan, manage the daily execution of the plan.

  • Keep team informed, clearly communicate goals and objectives to subordinates and assist them as necessary in developing effective daily production plans.

  • Responsible for ensuring all deliveries are completed on schedule

  • Monitor daily throughput and address any shortfalls to daily production plan.

  • Review Status Board, lead daily production standup and weekly tech meeting.

  • Assures conformance to product specifications and work instructions

  • Leads yield improvement activities, drives measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product utilizing Lean Manufacturing Principles

  • Performs weekly, monthly and quarterly staffing requirement evaluations, identify any excesses or shortfalls in staffing, take action to resolve any deficiencies or excess to the plan.

  • Conducts periodic assessments of all work areas for safety and cleanliness. Identify any issues, concerns or areas for improvement. Lead team in Safety, 5S, and FOD protocols, be exemplary role model.

  • Continually review and enforce the use and maintenance of work instructions, routers, logs, scrap tickets, training matrix, calibration requirements and company procedures.

  • Monitor all inventory in WIP, ensure supply is sufficient to meet plan, participate in regular material planning meetings. Inform management of shortfalls or projected shortfall in materials.

  • Willingness to lead teams on weekends when required.

  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly status reports as required.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and five years leadership in an operations environment desired. Relevant experience may be substituted with Military Leadership experience

  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, professional interpersonal skills are a must.

  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, Power Point, and MS Project

  • Green Belt Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred

  • Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

There are no sales taxes on purchases made in the state. * Understand and maintain commitments to production plan, develop daily targets and clearly communicate plan to all subordinates and team members. * Monitor daily throughput and address any shortfalls to daily production plan. * Update and maintain Andon Board, attend daily production standup. * Monitor and communicate yields throughout all processes under your control to Operations Leader, Manufacturing Engineer and Quality Engineer. * Lead as subject matter expert for area of responsibility through complete understanding of all operations, work instructions, test, capacity, and labor requirements. * Ensure all subordinates are properly trained and certified, work with Manufacturing Engineers to provide proper training and inform Operations Leader of any performance/issues. * Conduct a daily walkthrough inspecting all work areas for cleanliness. Identify any issues, concerns or areas for improvement and work with team to resolve. Assist team in 5S and FOD protocols, be exemplary role model. * Continually review and enforce the use and maintenance of work instructions, routers, logs, scrap tickets, training matrix, calibration requirements and company procedures. * Ensure all required materials are available and inform material handler and Operations Leader of any shortfalls. * Assess and fill out scrap tickets daily for processing, communicate with team to obtain required signatures. * Maintain and make readily available production chemicals and stockroom supplies used during build. * Prep for cycle count/inventory per Operations Leader direction. * Willingness to lead teams on weekends. * Ability to communicate effectively with others even in a demanding environment * Quality conscious with a great attention to deal * Positive attitude, proactive approach and flexible with changes in production * Dependable attendance history * Overtime when required * Computer skills required (Costpoint, Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, Scanning Document, ect.) * Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required * Perform other duties, as required Equal Opportunity Employer – minorities / females / veterans / individuals with disabilities / sexual orientation / gender identity.
