Specific Job Duties:

  • Help Desk for iSeries Applications and Tape Backups. Work with Ticketing System (Service-Now). Communicate with Users by Phone, Email or Microsoft Teams to Resolve Issues.

  • iSeries IPL Maintenance Once a Month.

  • Organize all Onsite and Offsite Tape Logs, Daily, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly.

  • Manage Offsite Tape Storage with Iron Mountain.

  • Monitor/Update IBM Tape Libraries and Tape Inventory.

  • Data Center Alarm Monitoring. Water Detection, UPS, and Fire suppression.

Preferred Skills:

  • IBM iSeries as an Admin or Operator.

  • Working with IBM Green Screen.

  • Tape Library Backup Systems. Restoring Data as Needed.

  • Help Desk Level 1

  • Ticketing System Experience.

  • Ability to Manage and Escalate Trouble Tickets if Needed.

  • Detailed Inventory and Organizational Skills.
