Manufacturing Product Specialist

The Hubbell Summer Internship Program is a 10 to 12-week program providing students the opportunity to gain corporate experience, learn about all aspects of our business, and prepare students with the kind of experience needed to have a rewarding career at Hubbell.

The Engineering Intern position offers a variety of opportunities including basic engineering tasks related to design, analysis, test, integration and systems engineering. Opportunities can vary from working in Application Tooling, Utility, Lean Manufacturing, Research & Development lab, New Product Development, continuous improvement or more.

Engineering Interns will typically support one or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as the day-to-day operations of the engineering department. Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which will help them build a strong network within the Hubbell community.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Roles and Responsibilities will vary by Hubbell business location, but may include the following:

  • Gained knowledge of the industry as it pertains to the Hubbell business location

  • Experience in planning and organizational skills

  • Engineering research and technical assistance to engineers

  • Review current engineering program activities to make recommendations for changes/improvement opportunities

  • Perform tests to assure quality control

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Detailed roles and responsibilities will be outlined dependent on business Group, location and the project outlined

  • Expectations: The intern will be expected to work full-time at 40 hours/week and will be compensated on an hourly basis.

Skills and Experience

  • Student must be a rising sophomore, rising junior or rising senior enrolled in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Administration.

  • Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

  • Must be comfortable with data analysis techniques and tools such as statistic and excel

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment

Our nurses have the time and an equitable schedule to build strong one-on-one relationships with patients and their families. * Home Infusion RNs are responsible for providing primary patient care for a specific caseload of patients. To include assessments, care planning, evaluation and education of patients receiving infusion therapy. * Provides nursing care and treatment of home infusion patients in accordance with the physician's plan of care, company policies, procedures and all applicable accreditation, federal, state, and local regulations. * Applies appropriate ethical, legal, confidentiality and advocacy principles to the planning and delivery of patient care. Will obtain correct, appropriate and timely physician orders to deliver nursing care. * Demonstrates competency in venous access device management, infection control, and safe practice of infusion nursing. * Have excellent written and verbal customer service skills in order to interact with the patient, physician, pharmacist and other partners. In this per diem role, you will work a flexible schedule of 2 to 3 days during the week visiting patients in the greater Corona area and along the I-15 corridor. On occasion you'll need to visit patients up to a 2 hr radius from the normal territory (travel time paid and mileage reimbursed). Participate in the on-call rotation of 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month with holiday rotation as directed by business and staffing needs.
