The Operations Training and Procedure group is seeking a unique individual; a highly motivated team player, possessing the perseverance to follow through on complex projects and the flexibility to respond to emergent requests. This individual is a demonstrated fast learner, is detail oriented and thorough, and has the desire to multi-task in order to excel in the various responsibilities of the position.
This position is expected to analyze training needs, develop associated training materials, perform and coordinate training, and maintain training records. This includes, but is not limited to actively supporting strategic initiatives and projects requiring system operations expertise through analysis of system performance data, working with internal and external business groups in business requirement design, product and procedure development, and product and process integration.

How you will make an impact:
Participate in all phases of the Systematic Approach to Training in support of the various OPTI Training programs, as assigned, including, but not limited to, ISO-NE System Operator Initial & Continuing Training, System Operations Support Staff Training, and Resource Operator OP-14 Training (ROOT)
Analyze the training needs of the trainees included within the various OPTI Training programs
Design, develop and implement training using a variety of instructional media for use in a variety of settings, including classroom, computer based, and simulation environments
Evaluate training courses and programs in order to identify areas for improvement as well as best practices
Collaborate with the training staffs of NPCC Control Areas and New England Local Control Centers to deliver joint and coordinated training
Collaborate with Control Room staff to review and update Control Room Operator tasks to ensure compliance with NERC Standard PER-005-2 requirements
Maintain training records for audit and compliance purposes
Participate as a member of the Curriculum and Task Review Committee (CTRC), Training Advisory Committee (TAC) and external technical working groups
Develop system operations performance and training program metrics to inform of potential operational improvements and for feedback into system operator training programs
What you need to be successful in this role:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or other related field and 2+ years of relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience working in, or supporting a control room environment
Demonstrated proficiency in analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of training programs
Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills presenting information to a diverse and technical audience
Knowledge of the operation of the bulk electric system, preferably the New England area
Prior experience with Articulate or other training software preferred
