Provide project management support to the Bank Operations and Services (BOS) division within the bank, focusing on driving initiatives that improve process, reduce redundancies, and eliminate waste. Track all project activities against target dates and ensure on-time completion of all milestones. Monitor project financials and accurately report the financial health of each project every week. Ensure projects remain within the funding limits approved by executive management. Report project progression to Line of Business (LOB) leaders as well as BOS executives. Refine project management procedures and institutionalize best practices to reduce project delays. Work with the technology vendors and other LOBs to drive project performance, executing against established goals. Build rapport with LOB and technology business partners.
Project Management (60%):
Work with BOS executives to develop project plans and goals.
Coordinate project meetings and deep dive sessions, working with subject matter experts to ensure projects outline all requirements and accurately describe the milestones that need to be completed.
Interview employees for information as necessary through direct/targeted questioning to capture all requirements, ensuring documentation is auditable and functional. Facilitate resolution of questions, comments and suggestions back to the department management so as to cooperatively achieve the best end product possible.
Vendor Management (20%):
Hold vendors accountable to service level agreements (SLA) and ensure deliverables are completed timely.
Host weekly meetings with contracted vendors and discuss issues facing the project management team .
Administrative / Miscellaneous (20%):
Participate in meetings, maintain meeting minutes, and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
Represent team on project meetings, committees, and cross-functional teams.
Conduct analyses used to support management decisions.
Update all project management systems of record and present updates to involved parties.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
The candidate should have prior experience managing projects, developing Business Requirements, working with technology vendors, and partnering with legal, compliance and sourcing to create/draft required Statements of Work (SOW), when required.
Strong analytical, written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail. Ability to work both in a team environment under guidance and with minimal supervision.
Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Flexibility to shift focus from one application or project to another.
Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
Excellent writing, editing, interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience using Clarity, Microsoft Project and similar applications preferred.
