Job Description Summary

Responsible for the manufacturing of potential and existing products. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgement is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instructions on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.

Job Description

  • Prepares buffers and other general laboratory reagents according to standard formulations.

  • Formulates bulk products consisting of one or more reagent components according to the manufacturing specifications.

  • May perform in-process or final product testing.

  • Operates and maintains measurement instruments needed to assure product is manufactured correctly.

  • Operates and maintains production equipment.

  • Maintains inventory of in-process materials, chemicals and other supplies.

  • Completes assigned training required to perform work duties.

  • Completes assigned training on quality and regulatory requirements affecting own area of work and complies with those requirements. Brings quality and regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management.

  • Follows Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures. Takes responsibility for safety in immediate work area. Participates in EH&S programs. Notifies supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.

  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Minimum requirements:

Basic math skills, a demonstrated ability to follow established policies and procedures, a knowledge of general laboratory safety, effective oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical/problem solving skills and effective organization and planning skills. Able to lift ~30lbs.

Typically requires a high school diploma and two years experience in a production laboratory environment, or equivalent combination of related education and experience.

The Cigna Enterprise Data Strategy team is comprised of business and technical teams spanning Customer, Provider, Buyer and Intermediary Data Domains as well as foundational enterprise data teams. The Customer Data Domain team establishes customer data strategy through an Enterprise lens and ensures roadmap delivery for all enterprise customer data domain initiatives. The Data Operations Sr. Manager - Customer Data Domain will be responsible for leading the Customer Data Operations Team. Assigning resources to daily activities including any support tickets with data issues, monitoring performance of resources and providing feedback on processes and tools to continuously improve. This is a business-facing role that requires a candidate with leadership skills and a strong data management background who understands data, how to manage data operations and continuously optimize processes. In this role you will be required to collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders from the Customer Domain, other domain area and Cigna resources that interact with Customer Data. As the team manager you are accountable and responsible for managing operations and continuously improving operations efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities * Data Operations: Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, data stewards and operations teams across various application and business domains to perform duties necessary to maintain the integrity of customer records and data associated with the Individual Book of Record (IBOR), according to established procedures and guidelines. Responsible for the development and management of a clearly defined Operational Model, inclusive of Intake Management, Business Production Support (root cause analysis, driving issue to resolution, prioritization & escalations), Enhancements, and Quality Controls and Reporting (audits). * Data Management: Responsible for maintaining and communicating metrics to gauge the health and quality of the enterprise asset through proactive data monitoring. Uses professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders of known issues and plan for remediation in a timeline that meets business expectations. Recognized internally as a subject matter expert on Customer Data Domain Data. * Data Capabilities: Lead execution of standard processes for operations to meet business expectations. Document standard processes and measure performance against SLAs. Propose new capabilities to optimize current processes and deploy best practices. Participate in User Acceptance testing of new capabilities, migration to new technologies, and release management processes. Qualifications * 8+ years of experience with data operations management required * 5+ years of experience with people management required * 5+ years of experience in a large, diverse data management organization required * 5+ years of experience working in operational support roles, including issue management resolution required * 5+ years of experience in a role supporting identity management & operational fallout required * 5+ years of experience in data management, data governance, working with Healthcare Customer Solutions highly desired * Working knowledge of data analysis, performance/operation auditing and metrics, and data analysis tools/SQL required * Experience optimizing or re-engineering processes highly desired * Strong communications skills; written, verbal and presentation highly desired * Proven track record of driving change and teaching/motivating individuals to develop & implement new ways of thinking and doing business preferred * Experience with data catalog and data governance tools preferred * Experience with project management methodologies; Agile preferred * Experience with Agile Central (Rally, Jira) or comparable agile management tools preferred About Cigna Cigna Corporation (NYSE: CI) is a global health service company dedicated to improving the health, well-being and peace of mind of those we serve.
