Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc seeks an Operations Expert at our San Ramon, CA location responsible for leading complex and cross-departmental/ cross-unit projects.

Expectations and Tasks:

Provide leadership and team development, coaching, and facilitation and also ensure the alignment of team priorities with broader best-run projects and programs in alignment with unit/ SAP-strategy and initiatives. Work on business issues or advanced complex technical projects requiring state of the art technical, industry or business knowledge and concepts.

Direct the design, planning, and implementation of (business) development/change programs, policies, processes, standards and procedures or technologies. Approve change management initiatives and suggest enhancements to existing programs. Provide neutral and holistic view on organization, unit, and area.

Link unit/area specific goals and execution plans with the rest of the organization and overall company goals. Establish co-operational model within business unit in close alignment with internal and external stakeholders.

Drive cross-unit initiatives in cooperation with other stakeholders.

Develop concepts and processes for continuous improvements of operational procedure, tools, processes, and content. Conduct assessments and reviews to actively contribute to improvement on process performance. Act as trusted advisor in community, actively applying PM expert knowledge.

Inbound and outbound communication on senior management level. Support senior management in monitoring and evaluation of KPIs. Guide tasks and processes of other team members and act as role model for team members from Associate to Expert level: gives feedback on skill development and training. 10% travel required.

Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field of study and 7 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 5 years of experience.

Work Experience:

  • Experience must involve 5 years in the following: Negotiation; Customer facing; Domain expertise; Project Management; Program Management; Management Communication; SAP Service Provider Cockpit; Java Development; ITIL; UX Design; Requirements Management; and Technical architecture/ Interface design.

  • Experience must also include: SuccessFactors Product Knowledge; Certified PMP. 10% travel required.

This includes ensuring that all compliance requirements are known, there are documented processes, and that evidence of compliance exists. The department is the primary liaison with the CPUC for audits, data requests, customer complaints, and emergency reporting of electric incidents. The department's QA group provides an independent assessment of performance measured against policy, standards & procedures. Position Summary The Expert Electric Compliance Specialist will be part of a team that is responsible for managing the daily activities between PG&E and the Safety Enforcement Division (SED) of the CPUC including: oversight of Electric Audits performed by SED, coordinating Electric Audit Reports, managing SED customer complaints, and, coordinating responses to SED Notices of Violations and oversight of Electric Ops' Self-Report process. This position has a periodic, one-week, 24/7, On-Call requirement responsible for contacting the CPUC when electric incident reporting thresholds are met for incidents that take place anywhere within PG&E's electric system territory. On-Call responsibilities generally occur three to four times per year. This position also requires occasional travel to various divisions. Job Responsibilities * Lead the team's handling of electric audits performed by SED (Safety Enforcement Division) and WSD (Wildfire Safety Division), from pre-audit, during audit, post audit data requests, through audit letter responses. * Coordinate teams of subject matter experts and facilitate discussions for responding to CPUC Notice of Violations and CPUC Audit responses. Lead the response preparation when needed. * Assist in extracting and compiling CPUC Audit Data and CPUC Notice of Violation Data on a monthly basis for addition into EO Risk & Compliance Committee (RCC) deck. * Lead and support Electric Operations CPUC Self-Report Process, including identification of issues that may meet self-report thresholds, research potential incidents, lead Self-Report quorum, and make recommendations to senior management for self-reporting. * Coordinate with appropriate LOBs to address escalated CPUC Customer Complaints through resolution. * Regular and ongoing verbal and written interaction with the SED and WSD staff. * Develop understanding of CPUC General Orders and requirements and provide the LOB with requirement interpretations. * Lead and support Guidance Document creation, updates for the department work functions (Standards, Procedures, job aids, process flows). * Lead and support process improvements, workflows and documentation to support. * Prepare reports for ad hoc requests from senior management, law department, external communications, safety engineering, law claims, and other departments. Analyze results and draw conclusions.
