Role Summary:

The Operations Engineer will lead & execute a strategy to meet integrated master schedule

requirements for the T-X Program. The Operations Engineer role will interface directly with the

customer, and also provide program status to the GE leadership team. The candidate will work

across organizations to identify critical path, identify abatements, and manage purchase service

resources.

Essential Responsibilities:

Additionally, as the Operations Engineer, key responsibilities will

include:

Own the Turbofan / Turbojet (TF / TJ) NPI Integrated Master

Schedule (IMS) strategy and process for the T-X Program

Act as the direct customer interface for scheduling activities

Manage purchased service personnel, as required

Leverage or create training materials, and incorporating lessons

learned as the team executes the program

Work with CAMs to formulate and implement plans to achieve

schedules and cost commitments

Act as a mentor and consultant to the TF / TJ team regarding IMS

activities, best practices, and overall program status

Collaborate and partner with Engineering Program Managers to

coordinate scope changes

Formulate and implement plans to achieve schedule

Systems engineering functions including qualification support,

specification / requirements flowdown, and proposal leadership

Budget/manpower planning for T-X program

Execute the analysis, design, test or integration related to

programs, products or systems that fulfill customer requirements

Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems

Assure proper documentation of data generated for the assigned

projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Monitor and communicate project status, business issues Help establish overall team goals, metrics, capturing lessonslearned, and developing robust processes and practices

Communicate with management on organizational, program, and

resource issues

Lead and mentor other team members

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college

A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering or program management

Desired Characteristics:

Solid oral and written communication skills

Previous experience interfacing directly with customer (technical or non-technical)

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Familiarity with GE's engineering finance system, and processes

Experience working in an Agile Framework (FastWorks, Scrum, SAFe or LeSS)

Experience developing and managing an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)

Experience with OpenPlan or MS Project

Experience in GE's engineering finance system

Team leadership experience

Demonstrated ability to implement change across cross-functional teams

Clear communication skills

Demonstrated behavior of interpreting data and setting go forward plans
