The Operations Director role is responsible for providing operational support to the assigned leadership team in areas that span the client delivery life cycle. In this capacity, the Operations Director is accountable to ensure tools, processes, and systems exist and effectively support the delivery of quality services to RSM's clients. The CS Operations Director is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of all aspects of assigned projects through the project life cycle.

Essential Duties:

Strategic Leadership

  • Partner strategically with assigned Service Line Leader to develop leadership meeting objectives and agendas, facilitate leadership meetings, and provide management oversight to strategic and tactical imperatives

  • Participate in and contribute to development and execution of service line growth strategies

  • Provide direct support for time-sensitive and proprietary tasks for Assigned Leadership team members as requested

  • Manage and facilitate new service line development / deployment and specific systems implementations by working with service line leaders, technical counterparts, internal support functions, and vendors as necessary

  • Partner with regional operations liaisons to provide implementation support for assigned service line initiatives

  • Continually identify, assess, monitor and communicate the issues and risks of a project/activity to the appropriate stakeholder

  • Provide interim hands-on leadership, management and oversight to troubled initiatives on an as-needed basis

Strategy Implementation

  • Partner strategically with and / or serve as a surrogate for assigned Service Line Leader to support the execution of short- and long-term goals

  • Partner with assigned Service Line leader and leadership team, and internal departments (human resources, sales, marketing, finance, legal) to develop, implement and maintain efficient and effective support processes

  • Provide ongoing operational support, oversight and process adherence for assigned service line and firm-wide policy and procedures

  • Create and execute project plans. Revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Manage project risks / issues. Recognize and determine the appropriate corrective action to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget and scope

  • Complete assigned projects with minimal oversight; consistently deliver high quality work on time; review own work and the work of others prior to completion

Operations Oversight

  • Provide oversight and advocacy for the effective and efficient use of internal systems

  • Operate in a self-directed manner, identifying and addressing risk mitigation, process improvement, communication, and support needs affecting the successful delivery of client solutions

  • Provide day to day and ongoing performance management, development, coaching and exit-counseling of employees

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required

Experience:

  • Minimum of ten years' experience working with management level individuals.

  • Minimum of five years' experience working in a professional services firm; consulting preferred

  • Minimum of five to seven years working in assigned area with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects

  • Previous experience in managing others in a team environment direct or indirectly

  • Experience in navigating in a matrix reporting environment solving/resolving complex issues

Leadership Skills:

  • Required to effectively communicate across all levels; knows audience and adapts appropriately, effective facilitation/presentation skills and strong listening skills

  • Demonstrated success in influencing and engaging stakeholders, building collaborative relationships while managing conflicting priorities Required

  • Demonstrated ability to respond positively to changing circumstances, seek and implement change to drive business improvement, and serve as a model of change

BSN required Must have at least yearsof Director of ER experience Technical knowledge of ED nursing, evidence based practice, and the continuum or care. Training and experience with process improvement, department performance management and optimization, and associated data analytics expertise is required.
