Position Duties/Responsibilities

The director will collaborate with the clinical directors, clinical staff, and faculty in the Department of Psychology to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Kay Doré Counseling Clinic (KDCC) and McNeese Autism Program (MAP). Additionally, the director is responsible for:

Operations

  • Manage all budgetary processes including but limited to program revenue and expenses, billing and collections, inventory, purchasing, and travel.

  • Set annual goals based on established program benchmarks.

  • Attend weekly program meetings to monitor progress and bi-monthly MAP clinic meetings.

  • Supervise office staff in the Kay Doré Counseling Clinic and McNeese Autism Program.

  • Complete annual evaluations of office staff; approve annual evaluations of the KDCC/MAP staff completed by clinical supervisors.

  • Ensure all staff (e.g. full-time, student workers, graduate assistants) complete required annual trainings (e.g. HIPAA, ethics, safety meetings.).

  • Coordinate annually with clinical supervisors, clinical staff, and faculty in the Department of Psychology and Counseling to evaluate policies and procedures.

  • Assist clinical faculty and staff with accreditation efforts.

Program Promotion and Marketing

  • Implement effective marketing to build community awareness.

  • Promote national, state, and local recognition of the KDCC/MAP as a preeminent university-based center for clinical service.

  • Promote national, state, and local recognition of the KDCC/MAP as a preeminent university-based education center for master's level students in Counseling/ABA.

  • Track and interpret marketing data for development and implementation of strategic plan and objectives.

  • Manage physical and digital marketing and public relations, including social media.

  • Provide oversight for the development and distribution of promotional materials.

  • Collaborate with the Office of Marketing and Communications for the development of promotional materials.

Continuing Education Opportunities for Full-time Staff:

  • Promote full-time staff participation in conferences as attendees and presenters.

  • Assist with organization and execution of professional and community workshops and presentations.

Program Fundraising

  • Research fundraising opportunities and submit grant applications.

  • Establish relationships with major donors/corporations and make presentations.

  • Design and organize fundraising campaigns and events.

  • Collaborate with the Department of Psychology and Counseling faculty to secure external funding for the KDCC/MAP services.

Supporting McNeese Initiatives

Required/Preferred Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • A minimum 3-5 years of administrative and budgetary experience in a community-based, profit or non-profit, health care agency.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited university recognized as a member of the Commission on Colleges.

  • Master's degree in business, accounting, or related discipline; CPA preferred

  • Experience in health systems management.

McNeese typically accepts evaluations by World Education Services (www.wes.org) or Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc.www.ece.org.
