Operations Director needed for private, established, general dentistry office in The Woodlands, TX. The Operations Director will be responsible for guiding the overall success of our practice and our expansions into additional locations.


Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7+ yearsdental office management or dental operations management; multiple practices preferred
  • Strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of maturity, personal initiative, and sound judgment
  • Outstanding relationship-building, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to build a comfortable and approachable relationship with patient
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
  • Experience with practice management software, preferably Dentrix
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the business operations ofsingle location and expansions.
  • Directly support dentists and staff in their growth and development, helping them set goals and address operational opportunities within their supported office
  • Motivate team members, resolve conflicts and make hard decisions
  • Ability to analyze business reporting and create recommendation/action to attainment of yearly budgetary and contribution goals, prioritizing supported practice performance issues to ensure issues impacting Same Office Growth (SOG), revenue and profitability (EBITDA) are addressed first
  • Monitor the P&L statements for each supported practice and develop effective ways to close the gaps between actual performance and company projections
  • Responsible for interviewing and contributing to the selection of supported dentists
  • Develop workforce planning, recruiting and retention strategy to maintain optimum performanceby employees

Job Description Summary: A key member of Benchmark's Home Office senior leadership team, this position will maintain direct oversight of all aspects related to culinary operations throughout the portfolio. Directly collaborating with the Vice President of Food and Beverage, this individual will bring value through supporting and driving revenue targets, identifying expense efficiencies, attracting and nurturing talent as well as fostering relationships with property operators, owners and business partners. In addition, elevate overall food and beverage creativity as well as improve food quality, presentation and culinary execution throughout Benchmark's various operating models and entities. Furthermore, leverage their existing network of relationships, vendor partners and resources. Job Description: Key Responsibilities: * Support properties in achieving budgeted food revenue targets. * Drive Banquet/Catering group and social spend through strategic and creative menus to include upsell and suggestive-sell opportunities. * Actively participate in group FAMs, high-level/VIP site inspections and national/regional Sales efforts. * Collaborate with property operators with respect to revenue generating concepts. * Drive cost of sale efficiencies through collaboration with GPOs and leveraging procurement efficiencies. * Improve overall food quality and remain relevant to guest dining trends. * Grow guest feedback metrics specifically in the areas of presentation, quality, menu variety and value for price. * Ensure pricing strategies are aligned to meet margin targets and the competition. * Adapt portion control and waste reduction best practices. * Execute labor management and scheduling efficiencies. * Evaluate positions by way of their value and impact to the operation. * Provide culinary and stewarding labor deployment recommendations. * Attract world-class external talent as well as identify internal potential. * Drive accountability at all levels of the organization. * Provide effective on-boarding through training, operating best practices and access to resources including products and third-party vendor partners. * Spearhead property opening and transition culinary support. * Actively participate in pitches for prospective management contracts. * Apply culinary point of view for improvement plans and property assessments. * Provide concept development, kitchen design/lay-out and equipment recommendations. * Drive property level sanitation compliance and meet criteria of local Health Department regulations. * Provide operational direction to reduce property liabilities. Qualifications: * 5-7 years minimum in an Executive Chef role or greater with a high-volume, luxury hotel/chain or well-established restaurant group. Prior corporate leadership and international experience preferred. * Property opening and transition experience. * Culinary or Hospitality related degree - BA or equivalent. * Ability to travel up to 75% of the time to include international destinations. * Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to interact professionally and diplomatically. * Experience in working with organized labor forces and collective bargaining agreements. * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * Knowledge of various point-of-sale operating systems.
