Job Description:

The Andersons Marathon Holdings LLC - Logansport, Indiana

This site is adjacent to The Andersons' grain elevator in Logansport, Indiana. Since opening in April 2007, The Andersons has managed the 135 million gallon ethanol plant, which requires 46 million bushels of corn to operate and also produces 390,000 tons of distiller dried grains annually. Ethanol, E-85 and corn oil are available.

We are seeking a Grain Operations Crewleader to join our Ethanol

  • Grain Logistics team!

Position Overview

This position is responsible for performing and leading daily activities in all areas of grain operations and loading finish product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily shift meetings; provide training and work direction; oversee assigned crew to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective operations

  • Monitor all associated equipment and processes; identify potential issues; take appropriate action such as resolving minor issues, performing minor maintenance, or escalating issue for resolution as necessary

  • Provide input and recommendations to other plant departments that will ensure consistent and optimal operations efficiency

  • Perform all activities in all areas of grain operations and loading finished product

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Has developed expertise, typically through a combination of job-related training and considerable on the job experience

  • Typically acts as a lead, coordinating the work of others, but is not a supervisor

  • Works autonomously within established procedures and practices

  • Has developed a specialized level of skill to perform assigned tasks

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associates or higher-level degree preferred

  • 5+ years' relevant experience required

  • Demonstrated competence in all work areas of grain operations

  • HAZMAT training/certification

  • Ability to lead and direct the work of others

  • Demonstrated intermediate level computer skills

Physical Requirements and Working Environment

  • Work is performed in a facility that operates 24x7.

  • Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time

  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds

  • Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feet

  • Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures

  • Working conditions could include: dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces
