LOGISTEC's terminal operations and specialized cargo handling services include container, bulk, breakbulk and project cargo as well as intermodal facilities and RORO operations. Our Calvert, Alabama location is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our successful team. This is a high visibility, growth position in the organization.

Overview: The Operations Coordinator supports all operations functions and works directly under the supervision of the General Manager. This position requires a blend of leadership, planning, administrative skills, and hands-on involvement to ensure the effective daily operations. This is an excellent opportunity to learn management skills working directly with the senior management team.

Responsibilities General Operations Fully support and cross train on all daily operations functions with the Operations Manager. Work with Superintendents to support operational needs regarding equipment, supplies, and training. Work on special projects with, and as directed, by the General Manager.

Manage equipment maintenance schedules and records. Manage procurement of stores and equipment. Health and Safety Compliance:

Act as "Safety Coordinator" for management team. Interface directly with customer Safety Team members. Provide oversight of EHS system entries and training.

Attend Safety meetings and document safety activity. Review, update and maintain SOP database (under direction of Ops Manager). Respond and assist with any operational or safety incident. Maintain OSHA required reporting including updating SDS database.

Performance Reporting: Monitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance. Prepare monthly reviews for Safety KPIs and interface with customers on safety issues as they arise.

Qualifications Must have excellent computer skills and exhibit proficiency with Microsoft Office products especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Some experience with data entry and database management. Ability to make decisions based on observation skills.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a customer facing role. Ability to work in a team environment and support all members. A. or B.S. preferred but will train the right person. #Logistec_us
