This position is based at the Ford Idaho Center. The Ford Idaho Center is the premier Multi-Event Complex in the Pacific Northwest. The Operations Coordinator supervises and directs the day-to-day operations of the facilities. The position provides leadership and direction to part-time staff about building policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Leads teams of 5+ in housekeeping (seat cleaning, vacuuming, windows, dusting, restroom/washroom cleaning, wet and dry mop usage, etc.) and show set ups (stage builds, chair sets, pipe and drape sets, bike rack, barricade, stage skirt, stairs, railings, etc

  • Trains and motivates part time staff and temp staff in daily activities

  • Responsible for thorough execution of daily check lists

  • Promptly reports any concerns or personnel issues to Operations Management

  • Verifies and reports information from daily cleaning checklists throughout facility

  • Responsible for filling out and verifying quality room sets and other event paperwork

  • Working knowledge of operations equipment including, but not limited to, forklifts, pallet jacks, staging, retractable seating risers, basketball floors, sport track, buffers/burnishers, rider sweepers/scrubbers, walk behind scrubbers, blowers, vacuums, snow removal equipment and others as needed.

  • Handle folding chairs, stacking chairs, tables of various shapes and sizes, drapery and skirting

  • Responsible for safe use of various supplies including a variety of cleaning chemicals, mops, brooms, shovels and scrapers in completion daily tasks

  • Responsible for accurately completing room sets

  • Direct housekeeping, set up crews, and temporary staff during events

  • Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients

  • Maintain a customer first mentality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required

  • Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment

  • Ability to read and accurately interpret event resumes for room sets

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines

  • Experience in public facility strongly preferred

  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in handling multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability and proficiency with various event sets

  • Must have demonstrated ability to lead large teams of 5+ employees with minimal direction

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing

  • Possession of or ability to obtain a valid driver's license highly desirable

  • Demonstrated self-starter

Intellectual/Social Demands:

  • While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including: following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will constantly be in leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in prescribed time frame. This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including: ability to direct/motivate/inform staff and foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with clients.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be physically capable of heavy lifting (50 pounds), assembly and orderly set-up or physical facility inventory items including livestock arena panels, livestock bedding, sports turf, staging, seating, tables and other even driven needs.

Work Environment:

  • The duties of this position are performed indoors and occasionally outdoors in the weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environments is usually moderate to loud during events and minimal during non-event times.

This role will provide the Project Management staff with a support function that affords stronger focus on core responsibilities while increasing efficiency and consistency. Key Job Accountabilities: * Responsible for supporting the Project Managers with mutually agreed upon designated tasks to drive the overall success of business development and/or job related activities in an independent manner requiring minimal oversight. Accurate and timely tracking of financial elements and project status to key project stakeholders, and in some instances the Plexus customer, is critical. * Responsible for supporting the proposal creation process including coordination of all proposal inputs, quote kick-off tasks, and proposal reviews. * Responsible for working with the Site Management team to create and monitor metrics to reflect the performance of the site. * Responsible for the successful coordination and facilitation of regularly recurring PM team meetings, in addition to the compilation, organization, and presentation of subject materials, metrics data, and/or applicable reports. * Responsible for enhancing customer service excellence by providing support to project teams and coordinating project team logistics. Activities may include, but are not limited to, scheduling meetings, capturing notes, ensuring accountability for tasks and follow-up items, setting up customer communication tools, establishing communication plans, and arranging travel. Additional Accountabilities: * Supports the Project Management process through contributions to continuous improvement. Identifies opportunities for standardized work and best practices to ensure efficient processes. * Supports the Purchasing and Business Office functions to help resolve action items and conflicts. * Participates in the CAPA process by identifying quality problems and supports the CAPA process to ensure Plexus consistently provides high quality services. * Maintains knowledge and understanding of Plexus' standard quality policies and procedures as well as customer specific project needs to ensure the project complies with all requirements. * Proactively considers what additional things the PMC team might be able to do to support the PM Team and works to implement these items across the organization. Actively promotes the PMC role and communicates new or enhanced service offerings.  * Demonstrates knowledge of the PM Toolset by being the "go to" person for the PM Team and other team members who have questions and/or need guidance. * Demonstrates effective organization, prioritization, and time management skills. * Minimal travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 5%). * Additional duties as assigned. Education/Experience Qualifications: * A minimum of a two-year technical or business degree is required; a CE/EE Associates or AAS in Management is preferred. * Less than One (1) year of related experience is required; One (1) or more years of related experience is preferred. * Experience of 1 year of direct engineering support experience is desirable. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
