We are currently adding an Operations Controller to our North America Finance team. This role is a key player in driving our business forward by ensuring the financial stability and operational efficiency of our manufacturing facilities making sure Huhtamaki meets its strategic objectives. This senior-level role reports directly to the SVP Finance while also responsible as a finance business partner supporting the SVP Operations and an active participant in the Operations leadership team.

About the Job

The major responsibility of this position is to work with the Heads of Technology and SVP of Operations to develop, plan and monitor the goals, objectives, and strategies of the manufacturing and warehouse facilities within North America. Additional responsibilities include developing and maintaining a process for identifying, measuring, analyzing, preparing, interpreting, and communicating financial information to be used to plan, evaluate, and control the Company's resources. These responsibilities require the position to work effectively with other senior management and with the plant management at facilities within Huhtamaki North America.

The preferred location for this role is in DeSoto, Kansas (Greater Kansas City metropolitan area) working in a hybrid work environment.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Active participant in the Operations Leadership Team contributing to building and executing on Operational Excellence strategies.

2.Support the World Class Operations system of continuous improvement and zero loss ambition by contributing to identifying areas of opportunity, defining, tracking and reporting KPIs, project valuation and financial results

3.Collaborate across North America and globally to continuously improve support structure and linkage between financial results, impact of improvement efforts and operational performance and the digitalization of these processes

4.Prepare timely and accurate monthly operations reports to support the needs of the Heads of Technology and in line with the North America business requirements.

5.Manage and develop team of Finance resources broadly supporting Operations

6.Embrace a safety first culture and model safe working behavior

7.Collaborate with the facilities to develop individual production budgets that consolidate into the overall corporate budget and business plan.

8.Develop the business plan and forecasts to estimate the future impact of strategic decisions and monitor results against targets

9.Provide financial support and input into key projects and improvement plans designed to improve cost efficiency of the technology.

10. Manage Capex requests in line with Company policy and Capex evaluation forms. Provide periodic Capex reports on status on projects and carry out post audit on major capex projects. Oversee the accuracy of the Fixed Asset register for the technologies.

11. Provide support and direction in managing plant inventory accuracy through cycle counting and physical inventory counts. Additionally, oversee obsolete and slow-moving inventory to provide best method of disposition.

12. Provide support in setting the financial targets for plant inventory levels which are aligned with the overall financial goals of the company.

13. Oversee all product costing and assisting in developing costs for customer pricing decisions

14. Maintain a standard costing system and ensure production facilities follow the costing manual, applied consistently across technologies. Review and update standard costs as outlined in the manual.

15. Monitor cost-saving and efficiency plans and related monthly review of plant performance against plan.

16. Provide month-end reports and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of data within the legal ledger as it relates to plant performance.

17. Provide support for the implementation of ERP system and other digitalization initiatives

18. Manage internal and external audits
