Job Summary:

The NOC Operations Business Analyst role will work inside the Network Operations Center (NOC) and is responsible for the monitoring of grid conditions, dispatching demand response curtailment events, and providing event forecasting and analytics reporting.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Primary backup to initiate curtailment event notifications to customers, and encourage customers to activate reduction plan

  • Manage the monitoring of real-time customer performance data during demand response event

  • Ensure that the demand response event management software is operating properly

  • Create daily event caller list and ensure that in-event performance notification responsibilities are appropriately assigned

  • Manage required documentation in demand response event management software for compliance purposes

  • Create post-activation reporting to be distributed to appropriate internal groups

  • Create weekly, monthly, and annual activation reports

  • Revise and update all communications templates on a regular basis for both accuracy and efficacy

  • Take and/or direct real-time actions in accordance with ISO, utility, co-op, customer or NRG commitments and/or procedures

  • Continually communicate all necessary information to appropriate internal and external parties/personnel

  • Communicate operational issues and implement improvements to existing systems and procedures

  • Understand the responsibility of providing NRG's distributed customers reliability and resiliency

  • Monitor and analyze available market information alongside contract commitments to identify dispatching, optimizing, and trading opportunities

  • Manage the monitoring of real-time customer performance data during dispatch

  • Manage required documentation in dispatch event management software for compliance purposes

  • Communicate any event monitoring systems errors to IT support, participate in pre-production systems testing, and ensure that system updates do not create an adverse effect on business operations

  • Build and analyze event forecasting and analytics reports

  • Revise and update all communications templates on a regular basis for both accuracy and efficiency

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • The Operations Business Analyst role will require working normal business hours 8:30 am 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be available to fulfill storm/event duty requirements, which may include:

  • Reporting to work during winter storms or other possible catastrophic events

  • Working extended shifts as necessary until storm or event conditions reside

  • Proven ability to think critically and provide leadership in fast-paced, hectic environments

  • Proven ability to make creative, logical, solution-based decisions in the absence of direct supervision

  • Proven ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing

  • Ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Energy industry experience

  • Knowledge of Demand Response Programs, Distributed Asset Operation and/or "Behind the Meter" programs

  • NERC or PJM certification are a plus

  • Prior experience working in one or more of the following markets:

  • CAISO

  • ERCOT

  • MISO

  • PJM

  • NYISO

  • IESO

  • ISONE

  • Ability to work without supervision while carrying out duties

Chief Data Office (CDO) is responsible for partnering with the Senior Managers of Technology, the Data Governance Officers across Citi, and their staff towards shared accountability of risks and issues related to Data Management. The Chief Data Office (CDO) is responsible for development of data guidelines, standards and controls to protect Citi's critical information assets, and governance programs that drive compliance with the Citi Data Management Policy (CDMP) and oversight of End User Computing. The CDO partners with Business and Global Functions Data Governance Officers (DGOs) in an enterprise wide data quality management discipline continuously striving to improve data quality at Citi. Job Responsibilities * Administer and ensure the consistent implementation of MCA Standards and Procedures across the CDO MCA entity and align with EO&T procedures. * Responsibilities include coordinating the annual review of Processes, Risks, and Controls (PRC) for the Annual Risk Assessment (ARA), and conducting ARA Facilitated Sessions with process owners and CDO Areas.
