The Role:

The Workplace Operations team is responsible for maintaining non-manufacturing facilities and providing support to engineering, sales, service, energy, and general and administrative teams. Operations Associates are key contributors to creating a positive workplace experience at Tesla through their daily interactions with employees on furniture coordination, events, and many other workplace initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute workplace activities and tasks such as event set up and breakdown, furniture deployment, employee moves, and other activities that support workplace operations

  • Build furniture, schedule time with employees to swap furniture, and execute accordingly

  • Collaborate closely with the workplace management team and external move vendors to perform office employee moves interoffice and between other sites

  • Maintain furniture and other workplace inventory by keeping storage spaces physically organized and by tracking inventory in the database for forecasting purposes

  • Perform cable management through office and conference room spaces

  • Conduct facility audits and building inspections to ensure facilities are maintained to specific standards

  • Collaborate on various workplace projects gather project requirements, communicate project progress to appropriate parties, document project actions, and execute effectively

  • Coordinate and receive workplace deliveries; periodically support deliveries between other Bay Area sites

  • Cross-train with the mail associate and reception teams

Requirements:

  • Associates Degree preferred and 1+ year of experience in a corporate setting

  • A customer-centric attitude and enthusiasm for supporting internal teams

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Advanced knowledge of building and installing furniture systems and basic knowledge and strong interest in Facilities and Workplace Operations

  • Ability to perform minor facilities repair skills such as painting, hanging wall graphics, etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional and mature manner when interacting with internal clients, colleagues, management, and vendors

  • Current forklift certification strongly preferred; if not certified, it is required to obtain training providing by Tesla once on boarded

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

  • Availability to work weekends or nights as needed into order to project or schedule demand is required

  • Evidence of exceptional ability
