JOB SUMMARY:
The Operations Associate II for the Asset Servicing department provides day-to-day operational support for the initial review of an asset, valuation updates, security master setup, and ongoing maintenance of all asset classes. Supports the goals and objectives of Equity Trust Company (ETC) leadership, collaborates effectively across the organization and ensures a superior client experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Gathers, reviews and verifies required documents for completion and accuracy including asset setup, valuations, and corrections
Guarantees continued maintenance of existing assets including fair market value updates, matured notes, note modifications and updating client's assets by utilizing statements provided by the asset provider
Works with Asset Sponsors to obtain appropriate tax reporting requirements and pricing updates
Monitors unsettled assets to ensure appropriate documentation is on file
Confirms tender offers, quarterly redemption notifications and proxy and prospectus are issued to account holders
Monitors and updates corporate actions
Institutes continuous improvement approaches where appropriate; assesses processes and make recommendations for workflow improvements
Works collaboratively in a team environment to achieve team, department, and overall business goals
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Demonstrate success in problem solving and resolving client issues/concerns
Provide project support as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field preferred
Retirement product knowledge or financial services experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. It requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
