Operations Associate Duties:

  • Create a world-class customer experience by providing passionate customer service and selling through customer engagement

  • Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation of the best apparel and equipment brands in sporting goods

  • Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the store including the office and restrooms

  • Assist with the unloading of trucks and processing of freight

  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, push, pull, and lift cartons/bins weighing approximately 10-50 pounds each repetitively

  • As business needs arise, other tasks may become necessary

Success Profile :

  • Flexible availability including nights, weekend, and holidays
  • 1-2 years of operations or maintenance experience preferred

Ranking Digital Rights (RDR) sets global standards for how technology companies should respect users' human rights. We produce an annual Corporate Accountability Index that ranks the world's most powerful internet, mobile, and telecommunications companies on their disclosed commitments and policies affecting users' freedom of expression and privacy. OTI and RDR are housed within New America, a nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy institute that invests in new thinkers and new ideas to address the next generation of challenges facing the United States. In this full-time position, you'll spend half your time working closely with OTI's Director, supporting his scheduling and correspondence, tracking progress on projects, submitting expense reports, handling event and meeting logistics, and supporting our hiring and on/offboarding processes. You'll spend the other half of your time providing critical support to RDR's operations, including invoice and payment tracking, scheduling and logistical support for meetings, events and travel, liaising between RDR and other departments at New America, and other similar tasks. OTI Executive Assistant Functions (50%): * Schedule and organize meetings and travel for Director as needed; * Organize and prioritize information for Director, including email and phone calls; * Assist in managing requests for Director's time; * Process and submit reimbursement requests; * Set up and coordinates OTI meetings and assists with events; * Assist with hiring, onboarding, and offboarding. RDR Operations Associate Functions (50%): * Support Senior Program Manager with invoice and payment tracking; * Process and submit reimbursement requests; * Attend in-person OTI & NA comms/editorial/staff meetings, and coordinate and liaise with RDR staff that are not present; * Logistical support for planning of RDR events at NA locations, event-day support; * Support the team with scheduling of meetings, conference room bookings and video conference setup; * Assist the team with travel bookings and logistics; * Assist RDR's Director with communications and scheduling; * As needed, assist RDR team with other operational tasks that enable the project to run smoothly in coordination with New America's administration and operations. Qualifications: * Outstanding written and oral communication skills. * Detail-oriented and organized. * Ability to interact with all levels of employees; strong collaboration and interpersonal skills; ability to work well within a team. * Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a remote team; * Excellent time and project management skills, flexibility to adjust to changing deadlines. * Ability to creatively problem solve under pressure and anticipate needs. * Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience. * 1-3 years of relevant experience.
