Operations Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operations Assistant to join our team. As an Operations Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our logistics department. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, communicating with clients and carriers, and ensuring that all orders are processed accurately and on time. Additionally, you will assist with data entry, generate reports, and help to maintain inventory records. This position requires excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track shipment orders from start to finish
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on shipment status
• Ensure that all shipments are compliant with relevant regulations and documentation is complete
• Assist in managing inventory records and reconciling discrepancies
• Process and verify customer orders and invoices
• Generate reports on shipment volumes, delivery times, and other performance metrics
• Provide administrative support to the operations team as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in logistics or a related field is preferred
• Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, or a similar industry is a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving attitude and the ability to take initiative
• Familiarity with transportation regulations and compliance requirements is a plus
