Operations And Fiscal Coordinator

Job Description

The Fiscal and Operations Coordinator for Student Success Initiatives (SSI) serves as primary administrative support and operational liaison with internal and external departments and agencies. The fiscal and operations coordinator manages office practices and procedures, prepares outgoing correspondence, processes financial transactions, and serves to keep SSI in compliance with university policies and procedures.

This position requires the ability to interact with administrators, faculty, staff and students with an understanding of protocol and confidentiality. The coordinator manages the following essential functions for SSI: fiscal, transactional HR, fixed assets, key control, contracts for events and external speakers, internal grant funds management, program attendance data collection and reporting.

Required Qualifications

Working knowledge of accounting and financial systems as well as office practice and procedures; ability to prepare outgoing correspondence using word processing software; ability to work with spreadsheet and central financial office forms; bookkeeping or accounting experience; ability to make independent decisions; and an understanding of academic programs, policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Hokiemart, Banner, Timeclock, Chrome River and Microstrategy Finance System or similar systems.
