Operations Analyst II

Job Summary:

The Operations Analyst II develops and delivers analytical findings while also being responsible for the creation and maintenance of multiple reports. The Operations Analyst II will work with a variety of stakeholders to identify areas of advancement on topics ranging from data infrastructure to business strategy decisions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare quantitative analyses using Microsoft Excel and SQL to develop meaningful insights on applicant data and performance of key business areas

  • Produce clear and concise deliverables for leadership that inform strategy- making decisions and department functionality

  • Provide ad hoc operational support to department management that increases operational efficiency and creates time savings

  • Create and maintain PowerBI/Amazon Quicksight dashboards for leadership

  • Forecast/model department trends

  • Pull data from various structured and unstructured sources (SQL JSON Excel)

  • Offer insight and support to Business Intelligence teams for creating infrastructure and reporting that meet long-term data needs

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong analytical critical and detail-oriented aptitude

  • Functional analytical skills (projecting costing budgeting etc.)

  • High level of self-motivation; ability to accomplish goals independently

  • Articulate and well-spoken; strong interpersonal communication written and presentation skills

  • Ability to learn and apply new knowledge to business problems quickly

Education and Experience:

  • Strong academic record with a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience required.-

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience required

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • Proficient with SQL

  • Python/R programming experience

  • A strong understanding of statistical concepts relating to real-world data analytics (correlation regression t-tests probability etc.)

Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Compensation & Benefits:

The Compensation for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed.

Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.

Full-time SelectQuote employees are eligible for medical, dental, vision, voluntary short-term disability, company-paid long term disability, company-paid life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D), 401(k) + company match and 100% vesting after 4 years, discretionary profit sharing, employee stock purchase program (espp), paid time off, floating holidays, paid maternity leave, paid parental bonding leave, tuition reimbursement, jury duty pay, and other paid leaves vary based on work location.

Base Salary Minimum

$72,000

Base Salary Maximum

$80,000
