Responsibilities
Classification: Exempt / Non-Bargaining
Surveillance of core IT Enterprise Datacenters, applications, systems, platforms and services.
Perform Data Storage/ Replace Tape Backup rotations to offsite vaulting.
Support ticket management and resolution for documented workflows for Standard operating procedures management.
Conduct Data Center walkthroughs for hardware failures and environmental issues. This includes network hardware, server hardware, tape library, SANS and Crac Units.
Use IT Management & Monitoring Applications and tools to ensure service applications are operational.
Provide first level support for issues resulting from the helpdesk on off hours.
Triage, troubleshoot, event incidents and facilitate outage management, driving to resolution.
Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible security intrusions, vulnerabilities or threats.
Inbound/ Outbound communications & notifications to IT Technical system and application teams.
Provide support for Systems administration for backup and parts replacement on servers.
Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and 1-3 years of experience in IT or Business Operations Support.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy.
Communication and investigative / troubleshooting skills
A friendly professional demeanor and ability to excel in a team-oriented environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
Ability to learn and adapt to change
Experience with SolarWinds IT Management Software & Monitoring tools helpful but not required.
Experience working with internal customers in a Help Desk, Tech or Technical Support role will be helpful.
