Job Summary
The Operations Administrator will provide a wide range of administrative support for Purdue Infrastructure & Innovation Lab (PIIL) and support day-to-day office operations within Purdue Applied Research Institute, LLC. The individual in this role will independently perform routine and non-routine administrative functions exercising discretion, such as coordinate internal events and meetings, external meetings and visits with sponsors / clients, conduct searches for information, prepare reports or handle special projects. Additionally, the Operations Administrator will execute all procurements, travel arrangements, requests and reimbursements, expense reports for team members and projects. As requested, this role will provide support for project administration with tracking of deliverables, arranging client and team meetings, facilitating meetings with PARI finance, contracting, operations, and executive leadership as needed. The individual in this role will draft and edit correspondence, promotional materials or presentations and handle non-routine inquiries and issues from internal and external sources.
Required:
Bachelor's degree
Two (2) years of experience in an administrative support role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle frequent interruptions, balance multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail.
Advanced computer and related software skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, etc.
Ability to collaborate and communicate with individuals at all levels within and external to the university to support department needs.
Ability to interpret policies and procedures to proactively resolve issues or improve processes.
Ability to identify problems and implement or recommend solutions.
Drafting, proofreading and editing skills.
