Job Description:


Responsible for providing administrative support within a District or Districts in the areas of operational support, ordering supplies, hiring support and general administrative duties as related to the district(s) offices operations.


  • Provides seasonal hiring support in the HRB Gateway hiring system and administrative support to the District Operations Coordinator (DOC) supporting the overall district(s) offices. 50%

  • Receives communication (written, telephone and electronic) from offices who have a concern or a need around supplies, facilities or support. Documents nature of problem, researches solutions, and resolves issues or escalates to DOC or DGM as needed. 50%

  • Reviews office supply inventory and places orders to meet the needs of the office/district. .

  • Review and verify invoices and prepares payment for the DOC's approval.

  • Assists with local marketing initiatives.

  • Attends training related to the effective and efficient performance of job duties.

  • Other duties as assigned by the District Operations Coordinator or in partnership with other managerial staff.



  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional course work in math is preferred.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of clerical or administrative experience.

  • Must have good reading and math skills in order to understand information and effectively explain information to others.

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills and effectively communicate in person.

  • Computer skills

  • Understanding and previous use of a Windows-based computer system and applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Experience with Windows operating system.

  • A basic level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in English and/or other languages as required by the needs of the district.

  • Additional state and local requirements may apply.


  • Two to four years of experience as an H&R Block associate.

  • Experience in a multi-unit environment.

The Region Administrator has oversight of all branch administrative functions, and will monitor completion and provide the necessary training for completion. The Region Administrator assists the Region Management in achieving strategic objectives of the Region. Key Responsibilities * Responsible for continuously developing and maintaining constructive, productive relationships with Co-Workers and Leaders throughout the Region and Organization * Quickly addresses escalated customer concerns and insures branch follow through * Serves in an advisory role and monitors functions performed by the Branch Administrators with regards to effectively completing all Branch Operations Assignments, including collections, bad debt, vacation leave requests, petty cash reports, timekeeping, accounts payable at Region and Branch level, personnel training logs, investigations and requirements of regulatory agencies, system concerns, branch inventories, business licenses, billing, and month end close * Responsible for conducting all aspects of meeting planning, preparation, and follow up for regional business meetings, to include agendas, materials, and meals * Provide reports to the Region Management, highlighting all progress towards achievement of Region organizational strategies Minimal Requirements * 5 years of General Office experience, with at least 2 years of Upper Administrative level experience supporting Executive level managers * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Critical Skills * Aptitude for fostering positive relationships and ability to easily engage others in dialogue, convey sincere interest in building/deepening relationships and demonstrate a commitment to providing personalized service * Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills * Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership/responsibility * Ability to organize time, prioritize responsibilities and work effectively under limited time restraints within a collaborative work environment * Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills to meet customer's needs * Must have ability to work well under pressure * Ability to maintain objectivity and discretion with confidential information * Demonstrated ability to exercise a high degree of accuracy with multiple details * Must be able to multi task, work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines * Strong analytical and problem solving skills BE A PART OF THE ORKIN STORY We have a GREAT story to tell and those chapters come from many women and men who never knew anything about us, and now they proudly tell the story of their careers.
