Presents training programs to meet organizational training objectives for new employees and contributes to the continued technical development and performance initiatives for existing employees. Develops, creates and maintains supporting training materials. Works with Operations Leadership to identify training needs and evaluates training effectiveness.
Delivers training and development programs to employees including new hires, transfers and current employees for job - specific, technical and informational training needs
Develops instructional materials for New Hire and Ongoing training programs, including company - wide instructional materials and curricula as needed
Ensures accuracy of training and development resources through completion of procedure updates
Communicates training program and material changes to staff
Facilitates and solicits editorial review from Training Leadership and the Training Team
Attends department-specific meetings and project meetings. Fosters open communication with Operations Leadership.
Assists Department Heads, Business Owners, managers, key stakeholders and employees in the preparation of educational - related materials by identifying learning objectives; recommends changes or enhancements
Observes trainees during sessions, identifies and recommends future needs and coordinates additional training with other Training and Development and/or Quality Assurance staff
Assists the Training Leadership in the coordination and implementation of special training projects and initiatives
Works closely with Training Leadership and Operations Leadership to ensure compliance with the company's overall strategic training plans, policies and procedures as related to New Hire and Ongoing training
Assists in the development of educational assessment tools for measuring training effectiveness; coordinates the intake of monthly training statistics; recommends program changes / enhancements
Maintains knowledge of instructional technologies by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies
Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality under requirements of federal and state law, including HIPAA, and in accordance with company policy
Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed

High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
1+ years of experience in Ancillary CarePoint DME or UMWA processes or 2+ years of relevant experience within the OWCA Division
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in education, or related field
2+ years of relevant experience within the OWCA Division
Previous corporate training or technical documentation experience
Familiarity with adult education theory and technical training methods
Possesses Federal clearance or will take steps to be federally cleared within 6 months of assuming the trainer role
Advanced proficient with Microsoft Word (create and edit documents), Microsoft Excel (general spreadsheet navigation and data entry), Microsoft PowerPoint (creating and editing slides for presentations), and Microsoft Visio (organizational charts, workflows, diagrams)
Familiarity with instructional design, word processing, database and spreadsheet software capabilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with all levels
Effective interpersonal skills; client service, presentation and facilitation skills
Well - developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to interpret and explain complex instructions
Strong attention to detail; organized
Physical and Work Environment:
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment
Requires ability to communicate and exchange information, collect, compile and prepare work documents, set - up and maintain work files.
Requires occasional lifting and/or transporting of training materials and equipment up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time during training sessions
Work is performed in a general office environment
Primary responsibility is to support the training needs of the office site.
Travel may be required to other Enterprise locations in order to satisfy the training needs of the organization, up to 25% of the time
Work availability is required for extended or non - traditional hours or overtime during peak periods
