Responsibilities
The Operational Technology Lead, has primary focus on the technologies supporting Hines' property assets. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical, analytical skills, along with practical experience delivering solutions for the built environment. This is a global-scoped role with an objective to maximize field resources and partners to minimize travel. This individual will champion the convergence of OT and IT. The candidate will be a multi-talented, disciplined individual with an interest in and understanding of IT (Information Technology) physical infrastructure. This position reports to the Director, Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide consulting support for Hines employees as directed by Director of Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure
Participate in various IT project management activities including site surveys, needs assessments, preparation of documentation, scheduling vendor installations, data analysis and coordination of various project deliverables
Follow up on and help coordinate project activities as needed
Initial telephony setup advisement
Network topology
Contribute to the RFP development and the vendor selection process
Assist with the administration of projects including documenting meeting minutes and action items, making updates to budget and project plans, creating project documentation, etc.
You will be advisory resource to install and remove data center equipment during office commissioning and de-commissioning projects
Assist with trouble shooting technical issues that arise during network installation and build-out
Create visuals of network diagrams and floor plans using graphics programs, such as Visio
Telephony system upgrade and replacement project coordination. Internet circuit sizing analysis/coordination
Assist with billing as needed
Become knowledgeable of company standards and procedures

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements include:
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, IT, Engineering Management, Business Analysis or Project Management or another related field preferred
Five or more years of contributor experience in closely related technology roles
Candidates are encouraged to report all other role-relevant technical and non-technical certifications
Any enterprise infrastructure, networking, or cybersecurity certificates should be reported
IT Project Management career trajectory
Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
IT infrastructure (Systems, Network, Security, Storage) product/Real estate industry knowledge
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to multitask and provide elevated levels of support in a fast-paced environment
Interest in consulting and client relationship management
Must be eager to learn
Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and writing skills are required
Operates with autonomy and selective escalation
Excellent analytical and facilitation skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects, resolve and escalate issues and prioritize technical resources
Ability to maintain focus, shift attention quickly to respond to the unexpected while progressing on tasks/projects
Strong knowledge and technical expertise in cloud-centric enterprise architecture, specifically with proven experience integrating new cloud operations with traditional infrastructure and application support operations
Strong understanding of information technology and IT services including cybersecurity practices and techniques to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of systems, data, and resources
Demonstrated experience in designing and upgrading a complex, technologically blended environments that mix of legacy and newer cloud-based technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a particular focus on clearly articulating IT incidents and their solutions so that both end users and technical support staff understand what is being communicated
Working understanding of BACnet, BACnet IP, Modbus, and Tridium.
Experience with JIRA , Smartsheet, Bluebeam - Revu
