Operational Project Manager - Financial Systems
Job Description
As an Operations Project Manager, the role is responsible for overseeing projects within the Oracle Financial Systems team and Shared Service Accounting Operations. This requires the use of various tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, etc to track and ensure timely closure of operational items. Load balancing and distribution of tasks based on resource availability. Scheduling of tasks and handovers between offshore and onshore resources.
Finance Operations proficiency in this role involves optimizing Oracle ERP/EPM functionality to meet project objectives by collaborating with cross-functional teams, facilitating effective communication and project execution.
Primary Responsibilities:
Facilitate and Maintain all Operational Process Documentation
Monitor Incident/Support Request Queues and Route them to appropriate Teams
Create and maintain operational calendar and ensure tasks are assigned to appropriate personnel
Ensure all work tickets have appropriate and necessary documentation/approvals before closure
Ensure all resources have followed appropriate change management protocols
Respond to various audit requests with appropriate documentation by coordinate requests with various team members
Interact with outside support vendors to create and terminate user accounts for contract Personnel
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables; incorporate input from cross-functional team members and communicate to senior stakeholders
Establish project plans, tasks, resources, and ownership to ensure timelines are met
Coordinate internal and external resources for the planning and execution of projects
Proactively work to remove project obstacles, identify, and manage issue escalations, and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities
Provide timely status reports and program summaries including scope/schedule/quality risks, project status, resource allocation, and customer impact
Ensure that projects consider the needs of all stakeholders, internal and external, for a 360-degree purview
Understand business processes, expectations for transition, and success rate measurements
Contribute toward change planning as a change agent
Minimum Qualifications:
BS in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or related field
3+ years' experience operational/functional project manager in a Finance/IT Operation
Strong expertise in Jira and Oracle ERP
Ability to achieves project milestones while maintaining a strong focus on financial system efficiency and operational excellence.
A high-level understanding for various back-office accounting operations
Working knowledge of IT team operations and change management protocols as applicable to public companies
Ability to initiate support incident tickets both internally and with Oracle and facilitate resolution of the same
Strong written and verbal skills
Comfortable working in virtual teams leveraging google meet
Demonstrated problem solver and change agent

The salary range for the Operational Project Manager role is currently between $81,500 to $100,000, and the amount that is offered is based on the candidate's skills, experience and education, among other factors determined by the business. It is within Kaplan's discretion to adjust this range based on business needs.
