Job Summary

Supporting Global Procurement and the Source to Pay Value Stream (S2P), under the direction of the OPEX Leader, this position is responsible for supporting the Lean transformation and daily management initiatives by ensuring strategies are implemented and principles/practices/tools are incorporated in the culture and processes under transformation. This position implements and supports actions that bring about improvements which may include, but are not limited to safety, customer value proposition, quality, delivery, cycle, growth, margin expansion, lean culture, and inventory.

Responsibilities:

To support the Source to Pay Value Stream and Organization in implementing lean transformation and daily management across the value stream including:

Implementing tactical strategies to achieve the desired vision, utilizing Lean tools through a sequential roll-out for specific processes

Executing against long and short-term objectives to support the value stream's goals; directly from a VSA or working on subsets of our processes

Assisting in the change of systems/processes as required in support of the Lean initiatives related to the Source to Pay Value Stream

Utilize value stream mapping techniques to design optimal information, material, and production flow methods

To act as a change agent to bring about improvements in the functional process through the active support, participation and leadership of Rapid Improvement Events. Leading the Pre, During, and Post work for the event to achieve Targets.

Coaching the Organization on Strategic, 9 step problem solving, and Project A3's along with guidance on "just do-it's"

Participating in MDI's and coaching employees on continuous improvement, standard work development/modification/adherence, flow, takt time attainment, and problem solving abnormalities causing takt misses

Facilitation of training specific to Lean Transformation tools and problem solving methodology

Coaching organization and Value Stream on visual performance tools, including mission control and MDI boards

Executing key activities as part of Lean Transformation and daily management including tasks such as

  • Conducting value stream analyses

  • Conducting cycle time analyses, time studies, line balance improvements, work place analysis and improvement

  • Creating and implementing standard work, and teaching/coaching line leaders to do the same

  • Coaching on use of tools, work aids, poke yokes to support work place changes

  • Implementing / coaching the use of visual management tools

  • Assisting operations in problem solving issues affecting takt attainment

  • Resolving issues after Rapid Improvement events to achieve desired state

To support the launch of all activities needed to incorporate Lean Transformation and daily management into the Value Stream culture; includes:

  • Assisting in identifying on-going training needs

  • Supporting communication of the direction of Lean Transformation and daily management initiatives to employees

  • Utilizing the IR change management model, drive the lean culture transformation for the Value Stream

  • Drive OpEx culture change through coaching of employees and leaders to drive lean behaviors, and follow the principles and practices of OpEx

Qualifications:
5 years of hands on lean transformation experience in mfg. and transactional environment.

Strong project management experience

Associates or Bachelor of Science degree or related discipline desired (Equivalent education / training / or experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree)

Experience working in a world-class Lean working environment highly preferred

Knowledge of basic Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement based tools and techniques highly preferred

Key Competencies:

Ability to work effectively with all levels of management, all functional areas

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong Ability in use of computer tools, specifically Visio and Excel

Previous experience in developing standard processes and tools

Excellent collaboration skills

Experience managing and partnering with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders

Expert at lean facilitation

Ability to influence others regardless of function or title

The role support the Industrial business. Global FP&A provides financial support to the CTS organization supporting the SBU president and VP of Finance. The Financial Planning & Analysis Group is responsible for long-term and short-term financial planning, forecasting, management reporting and analysis, and the creation of tools to help drive decision-making. A senior financial analyst in this group reports to the Global FP&A Leader and will manage several high profile financial responsibilities. This position plays a key role in providing analytical and business decision support to drive financial forecasts, operating budgets and strategic goals. This role will work with other finance, business unit and functional leaders to compile and review annual budgets, generate forecasts, analyze trends in business performance, capital activity, and operating expenses and provide internal management reporting.
