About the Team

Workday's Global Support team is looking for a unique individual who can lead a team of Program Managers to success. The Senior Operational Effectiveness Manager would excel in project management, business analysis and have strong leadership skills. This team works across multiple stakeholder groups representing Workday Support to identify key business needs/drivers, develop comprehensive project plans, facilitate solution designs aligned with business goals, and manage project execution to scope/timeline/budget/quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team: build it, manage it, and motivate the team as required. Includes program plans, issues, risks, deliverables, milestones

  • Monitor and report progress against program objectives and goals

  • Identify issues and risks; initiate corrective actions and mitigation strategies as appropriate

  • Communicate regularly and effectively with all stakeholders, within the team, within the organization, and beyond; Manage and facilitate program and cross-organization meetings

  • Responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple program workstreams as needed

  • Be responsible for program quality and embed quality processes into the program

  • Report overall program status to the steering group at regular intervals and on an ad-hoc basis

  • Identify opportunities for improving our support offerings

  • Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations

  • Plan and ensure project execution is well within (sometimes aggressive) timelines

About You

  • BS or MBA in Business, Technology, General Management

  • 8 10 years program management track record managing highly visible large-scale change initiatives

  • Experienced manager who can motivate and cultivate a high-performing team

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams and third parties.

  • Excellent listening and communication skills

  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of stakeholders and audiences

  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization, and strong track record influencing at all levels

  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations

  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere

  • Forward looking with a holistic approach to solutions

  • Highly organized and detail oriented with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics

  • Strong team player and ability to work collaboratively with and through others

  • Expertise with collaboration tools (G Suite, Zoom, Slack and Smartsheet)

  • Acute business acumen and understanding of business organizational issues and challenges

  • Experience working with enterprise software, operations or support

  • Saas experience a plus
