Supply Chain Operations Research specialist performing Supply Chain analytics and generating insights, employing techniques from other mathematical sciences, such as mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and mathematical optimization, operations research arrives at optimal or near-optimal solutions to complex decision-making problems.

What you'll be doing:

You will advocate, evangelize and build data-fuelled solutions that help Logitech Supply Chain improve. You'll dig in and become an expert on our Supply Chain datasets. You will be chiefly responsible for production support of analytical systems for planning and insights generation.

You will provide insight into leading analytic practices, design and lead iterative learning and development cycles, and ultimately produce new and creative analytic solutions that will become part of our core deliverables.

You will work with Supply Chain team members to identify and prioritize actionable, high-impact insights across a variety of core business areas. You will lead applied analytics initiatives that are leveraged across the breadth of our solutions for Supply Chain. You will research, design, implement and validate cutting-edge algorithms to analyze diverse sources of data to achieve targeted outcomes.

As an operations research engineer, you will provide expertise on mathematical concepts for the broader applied analytics team and inspire the adoption of advanced analytics across the entire breadth of our organization.

Skills and Qualities we are looking for:

  • A Team player

  • Analytical and mathematical

  • A graduate or master degree in one of the following majors:

  • Mathematics, or Operations Research

  • Must have completed at least a major in statistics

  • Mathematical modeling (LP, MIP)

  • Stochastic simulation

  • Inventory modeling

  • Cplex, or Mosel Optimization libraries (required)

  • able to perform complex SQL queries (required)

  • R or Python (optional)

Job Description SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT, the Senior Network Engineer will support, maintain, and extend the global IT network infrastructure at Smiths Detection's sites and data centers. Work with outside vendors, other staff, and on your own to care for our WAN, LAN and Internet connectivity, VPN, WLAN, cabling, VOIP, firewalls, and security. Ensure compliance with company and governmental requirements, standards, and best practices, and support internal and external security audits Duties & Responsibilities SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: * Architect broad components of network infrastructure and advise IT and business stakeholders of network concerns and considerations * Work on highly complex projects (for example, integrating our network with another company's) in multifunctional teams and provide situational leadership * Perform hardware setup, software installation/configuration, patching, and all the day-to-day administration of network equipment and applications * Provide on-site, remote, and phone support internally, as well as collaboration with staff from parent company, and occasional consultation for customers and customer-facing internal teams * Investigate and remediate reports of network outages, latency issues, etc. * Implement and utilize monitoring systems and performance monitoring and notification applications, including daily review of logs, and analyze and report on issues and recommendations * Harden and improve network security across the company * Maintain auditable documentation and records, and ensure relevant security logs are generated and reviewed * Track network inventory, stay abreast of related product and service changes, and plan for and implement life cycle management * Work in accordance with change management processes The Individual Education/Training: College degree OR Equivalent experience in lieu of a degree; certification (CCNA, CCNP, or security related) very desirable Experience: Minimum of 8+ years as a professional network engineer/administrator Security: US Person required and eligibility to pass and maintain government-specified background checks; eligibility to handle Sensitive Security Information (SSI) Knowledge/Skills: * Theoretical and operational knowledge of current network theories and practices as they apply to subsidiary companies of this size, including a full understanding of the OSI Model, and relevant protocols, such as: BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, NHRP, OSPF, STP, VPC, VRP, VSS * Palo Alto Networks: LAN, WAN, GlobalProtect, IDS/IPS, Panorama * Cisco: Catalyst, ISE, Nexus, ASA products * SSL VPN, WLAN, VOIP * Very proficient written English skills Job Requirements: * Works self-sufficiently and in teams.
