Collins Aerospace is looking for an Operating System Specialist to support continuous improvement (CI) opportunities with the Airbus A220 and Embraer E190/E195-E2 Program. You will participate and lead projects across the organization to eliminate waste and improve performance metrics utilizing CORE/CI or other lean tools. You will also coach and train team members across the organization on the application of CORE/CI tools.
Participates in execution of operational plans in support of policy deployment goals and initiatives for the organization.
Contributes to the improvement of metrics (safety, cost, quality, schedule) and ensuring targets are met including event/project closure results achieved.
Participates in projects/transformations/kaizen events with groups internal and external to the program.
Actively participates/leads in resolution of difficult or complex problems.
Actively improves and implements current and new processes and standards that will have impact on the achievement of functional results.
Coaching and training individuals and teams within the business on their CORE & CI maturity.
Participates in identifying and sharing best practices across the organization.
Measures and drives CORE/CI progression within direct team.
Builds networks across the organization and discipline.
Identifies knowledge gaps within direct team and supports closure plan.
Able to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally (when circumstances permit).
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
Continuous Improvement/Lean/Six Sigma or equivalent experience
Experience with composite manufacturing and aerospace industry experience, related to nacelle components preferred
Team Center, SAP knowledge
