Collins Aerospace is looking for an Operating System Specialist to support continuous improvement opportunities. You will participate in projects across the organization. You will contribute to improvement of metrics utilizing CORE/CI or other lean tools and you will also coach and train across the organization on application of CORE/CI tools.

Position will work in a hybrid (onsite & remote) capacity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participates in execution of operational plans in support of policy deployment goals and initiatives for the organization.

• Contributes to improvement of metrics and ensuring targets are met including event/project closure results achieved.

• Participates in projects/transformations that cut across organizational, functional and internal boundaries.

• Actively participates/leads in resolution of difficult or complex problems.

• Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

• Actively improves and implements current and new processes and standards that will have impact on the achievement of functional results.

• Coaching and training individuals and teams within the business on their CORE & CI journey.

• Participates in identifying and sharing best practices across the organization.

• Measures and drives CORE/CI progression within direct team.

• Leads kaizen/CI events including leadership weeks.

• Builds networks across the organization and discipline.

• Identifies knowledge gaps within direct team and supports closure plan.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR

• Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience OR

• In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Substantial knowledge and experience of CORE/CI or other lean Tools and methodologies.

• Experience working in a team environment.

• Work autonomously with limited supervision.

• Ability to Influence others across multiple levels of the organization.

• Able to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

• Able to communicate and make presentations to senior level leadership.

• MS Office suite experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or ACE
• Current valid passport

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
