At Cash App, we are building an Operating System to power an infinitely scalable superapp. The Operating System team is responsible for curating core experiences that connect our products intuitively for our customers; building the shared services and technical architecture that are performant and promote development velocity; and experimentation that enables us to constantly iterate on remarkable experiences for our customers.

You will be a founding member of the Experimentation and Internationalization teams. The Experimentation team's goal is to build a simple, intuitive platform that enables optimization, and attribution across mobile, server, and web. Our goal is to democratize experimentation and cultivate an experimentation culture at Cash App. You will also support the Internationalization (i18n) platform. This team is building the localization and translation services that enable our global expansion across financial services, commerce and cryptocurrencies.

In this role you will:

  • Help launch the experimentation team, from crafting the team's mission and strategy to defining how the team works together

  • Define the strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for your teams, balancing business goals and customer needs

  • Deeply understand the needs of both internal and external customers and act as their voice through planning, design and execution

  • Define the framework and metrics to measure the impact of the team's services; deeply understand the core drivers and monitor progress.

  • Manage the roadmap to deliver on this strategy, balancing short term goals with long term vision.

  • 6+ years of product management or equivalent experience

  • Successfully led a complex product or business area with a lot of partners/stakeholders

  • Experience driving cross-functional product initiatives in a successful way

  • A hunger to tackle complicated and impactful product & business problems

  • Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and logical structuring abilities

  • Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to independently lay out and test clear hypotheses, and solve problems without well-defined direction

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $245,100 - USD $299,500

Zone B: USD $245,100 - USD $299,500

Zone C: USD $245,100 - USD $299,500

Zone D: USD $245,100 - USD $299,500
