Operating Engineer

Position Summary The Operating Engineer is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient operation of all mechanical/ electrical systems of the hospital including but not limited to; high pressure boilers, hot water boilers, chillers, building automation systems, and HVAC equipment. Another important aspect of this position is the ability to troubleshoot current and potential problems, conduct preventative maintenance and understand how to operate hospital emergency power equipment and all the associated distribution systems. ####Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics

####Ability to operate and maintain hospital high pressure boilers

####Knowledge of electrical distribution system

####Excellent mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills

####Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork in a timely fashion

####Computer proficiency

, with excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills

####Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods with the Physical strength to lift heavy objects
