Operating Engineer

The City of Saint Paul has an opening for an Operating Engineer.

We are looking for a skilled Operating Engineer to maintain and repair heating, cooling, and power systems, ensuring smooth operations in various Parks facilities.

• Maintain and Repair Equipment- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, air compressors, generators, and bodies of water like pools and fountains. Perform preventive maintenance, including greasing bearings and changing belts and filters.
• Operate Tools and Machinery- Use specialized tools, testing devices, and computer software to diagnose and repair systems. Safely operate vehicles, material handlers, hoists, and lifts.
• Recordkeeping & Coordination- Maintain work schedules, equipment logs, inspection records; coordinate with various parties.
• Work in Various Conditions- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments under different weather conditions.
