Position Summary
The College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Georgia, invites applications for a clinical track (non-tenure track), tenure track, or a tenured faculty position in small animal internal medicine at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor.
The major responsibilities for this position are to teach and provide service in small animal internal medicine in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, teach didactic and laboratory courses related to internal medicine topics to veterinary students, actively participate in the training of residents and interns, and develop a research program, which can be independent and/or collaborative with other faculty members. Proportionate assignments for each area will be based on the candidate's interests in conjunction with the missions of the internal medicine program and the Department.
The service enjoys access to vanguard technology including an endoscopy suite with a complement of endoscopic equipment, Ho:YAG laser, electrosurgical resectoscope, a new Somatom Definition Edge 128 slice CT by Siemens, 3.0 Tesla MRI, digital radiography, ultrasound, nuclear scintigraphy, full laboratory support, and a dedicated interventional radiology suite. The Veterinary Teaching Hospital is a 300,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility that opened in March 2015. Each specialty has its own dedicated rounds room.
Salary and entry rank will be commensurate with the applicant's experience and qualifications.
Additional Requirements
Completed an approved residency of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine or the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, and have board certification or be eligible for board certification.

For the tenure-track or tenured faculty ranks, documented research productivity commensurate with rank and interest in developing a research program is required.
To be eligible for tenure upon appointment, candidates must be appointed as an associate or full professor, have achieved tenure at a prior institution, and bring a demonstrable national reputation to the institution. Candidates must be approved for tenure upon appointment before hire.
