DUTIES:

The Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of South Florida Health Morsani College of Medicine and Tampa General Hospital is inviting applications for an ABR BE/BC Radiation Oncologist at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level. Candidates with a focus in Breast Oncology, CNS, head/neck, cutaneous, pediatric oncology and/or general radiation oncology are being recruited to engage in clinical, research, teaching, and administrative activities at the primary clinical/academic site.

The Department is experiencing rapid growth and treats approximately 1000 patients annually. Clinical services are provided at the Tampa General Hospital and two clinical locations within the Tampa region. A fourth comprehensive outpatient cancer center is expected to be operational in 2023 and the first proton center in the Tampa region by 2025.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

Minimum Qualifications:

MD or DO degree and Board Certification/Eligibility in Radiation Oncology

Must have current, unrestricted, medical licensure in the state of Florida or be eligible for unrestricted licensure in the state of Florida Academic credentials that qualify for appointment at the rank of assistant professor, associate professor or professor

Preferred Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess strong clinical and interpersonal skills, provide excellent clinical care in collaboration with disease specific oncology teams, participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinics, and perform research with mentorship by senior faculty as appropriate. Career development, in particular for early/mid-career faculty, will be a priority. For qualified candidates, leadership opportunities which support the clinical, research and educational missions of the TGH Cancer Institute will be available.
