JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The faculty member is expected to participate in the full range of faculty activities including, but not limited to, the following:
Assuring that the nursing curriculum is consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the School of Nursing and Oral Roberts University
Implementing a concept-based curriculum
Revising courses consistent with professional nursing practice and educational standards
Selecting learning resources that maximize students' learning
Implementing clinical experiences consistent with students' achievement of course objectives
Providing leadership in the spiritual and professional growth of students
Teaching in on-campus classes, simulated laboratories, and clinical settings
Serving as an academic advisor to nursing students
Serving on School of Nursing committees
Serving on University Committees
REQUIREMENTS
Master of Science in Nursing (minimum)
Doctor of Nursing Practice or Ph.D., preferred
Experience in community health, mental health, medical-surgical, pediatric, or critical care nursing
If first teaching appointment, minimum 2 years clinical practice prior to appointment
Meet qualifications for RN licensure in the state of Oklahoma
Practice certifications appropriate to clinical practice area
Lifestyle consistent with Oral Roberts University Honor Code
