We are seeking a board certified, or board eligible neurologist to join our Neuromuscular team in an open rank position. The successful candidate will join a team of faculty in providing quality patient care in the inpatient and outpatient setting at UNM Hospital. The incumbent will be involved in assessment and treatment of neuromuscular disorders in our Clinical Neuroscience Center including: carpal tunnel syndrome, neuropathy, radiculopathy, muscle disease, ALS, muscular dystrophy, OPMD, and myasthenia gravis. The ALS and MDA clinics are certified as Care Centers by their national organizations.
Clinical responsibilities include direct patient care in a busy outpatient clinical setting, as well as inpatient and consult attending supervision of residents, fellows and medical students and midlevel providers. Academic responsibilities include participation in teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows and research activities of the department. Based on qualifications leadership opportunities may be available.
