Onsite Supervisor

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to the Area Site Manager and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Novato, CA

Novato, CA (90%), San Rafael, CA (9%), Petaluma, CA (1%),

Shift: 8am

• 4pm (Monday

• Friday)

Salary Range: $75K - $90K (plus 5% annual ICP Bonus) (mileage, parking and toll reimbursement)

Travel: Less than 10%

What we're looking for

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associates degree or undergraduate degree in business or science related field is preferred

Experience:

• Requires 4-5 years of relevant experience in customer service, purchasing, or account management.

• Prior experience in managing associates is essential.

• Training in spill containment, IATA, DOT, IMDG, and Hazwoper is more desirable

• Additional training in GMP and GLP is a plus.

• Opportunity for potential management in Scientific Services.

• Must possess a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred.

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Lead and direct team efforts and executes tasks outlined in SOW to meet customer requirements.

• Coach and motivate team members to achieve job requirements and surpass goals, fostering professional and team growth through mentoring.

• Manage open order status reports, customer metrics, department reports, and maintains SOP/SOW.

• Provide training, development, and backup support to associates for task completion.

• Handle administrative duties such as associate performance appraisals, succession planning, time card review, and vacation scheduling.

• Develop and maintains SOPs, SOW's, SPI's, and KPI's.

• Acts as a liaison between customers, VWR services, and VWR sales.

• Ensure compliance with GxP and maintains good documentation practices.

• Enhance customer value through industry-specific personal development.

• Demonstrate self-management, motivation, and forward-thinking ability.

• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with customers and internal departments.

• Proficient in troubleshooting and capable of making informed business decisions independently.
