WHAT YOU'LL DO
The AVI-SPL Onsite TPM is responsible for managing the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific Systems Integration projects for AVI-SPL customers - typically working on customer premises. This role will ensure projects achieve time, scope, budget, quality, safety and customer satisfaction requirements with the end goals of delivering a world-class customer service experience.
The Technical Project Manager will work with Verizon on architecture design, development, and integration of technologies for new Verizon enterprise solutions. These architectures should prioritize enhancements made possible with 5G, mobile edge compute (MEC), and Verizon's network assets. This includes working closely with Verizon's Business Units, Strategy & New Product Incubation team, third party vendors and customers to create product recommendations, architectures, integrate those architectures into Lab, private and public networks, and launch new solutions to solve present day industry pain points and limitations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience requirements:
Experience with time sync (eg. Precision time protocol, network time protocol, understanding of the time sync vendor ecosystem, knowledge of precision time use cases not only for telecom, but other industries, specially GPS denied environments)
Experience of adopting to 5G the following technologies: audio-visual, computer vision and computer generation, multi-tenant GPU/CPU virtualization for vision, computer vision and computer generation , dimensioning and shifting load from/to client to/from server distributed architectures
Experience of distributed/cellular networks (eg. both device and network RF, timing, transport, MEC, low latency/jitter, power consumption), the Verizon ecosystem (both technical and organizational), specially competency and good understanding of the performance of different technologies such as mmWave and c-band public and private 5G, CBRS, UE's, 5G and LTE chips, modules, and devices, etc.
Experience with Tier1 vendors such as NVIDIA, Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung, Qualcomm, Dolby, … and vendor of devices where experiences are consumed
Location and time availability:
Availability for internal testing/feasibility studies at our main lab Basking Ridge (one Verizon Way, Basking Ridge, 07920, NJ) as well as the 5G Labs (https://www.verizon.com/about/our-company/innovation-labs), 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday
Availability to travel to customer sites during the deployment, test and validation of the solution, may also include the weekend during customer event (e.g. NBA, NHL, NFL venues)
The Technical Project Manager will participate in the all the steps of the e2e process of the project:
Build and justify a technical case
Design:
Technical workflow illustrations of solution architectures that lead to new Verizon solutions
Contribution to workflow diagrams and process flows that lead to new patent filings
Architectures that illustrate how the technologies will evolve to increase capabilities, maximize 5G and MEC integration, and lead to new revenue opportunities for Verizon
Development and Test:
Maintain, Integrate & Deploy:
Hands on deployment of distributed hardware and software that support new solution development for Verizon
Hands on integration and management of new hardware and software upgrades to core assets that lead to direct revenue and solutions for Verizon
