WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Onsite Support Technician will work in partnership with the customer, management team, global helpdesk, and SIG teams to provide on premises support for AVI-SPL customers at customer site(s) with the end goals of delivering a world-class Customer Service experience.

Day-To-Day Responsibilities:

  • Setup/breakdown of conference spaces to meet the customers event needs

  • Perform preventative maintenance task to help maintain customer spaces

  • Perform support tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner

  • Provide field service support of networked devices

  • Collaborate with internal/external teams in a professional manner that reflects the values of AVI-SPL

  • Understand and adhere to local safety standards for all site duties

  • Provide job site documentation and end user training as needed

  • Setup and troubleshoot various audio/video/presentation systems.

  • Travel to various job sites as required

  • At a minimum, the Audio-Visual Technician

  • Level 2 will accomplish the following tasks as part of their responsibilities:
  • Responsible for identifying defective or failed equipment and taking ownership to resolution.

  • Work with Estee Lauder support departments and Supplier Account Managers to provide proper resolution options.

  • Interface with original equipment manufacturers, developers, engineers, and project managers to provide resolutions for highly complex systems.

  • Perform remote troubleshooting for local and regional offices,

  • Provide reports and adhere to metrics outlined in the contract to provide Service Levels defined per agreement.

c. Required Skills:

At a minimum, the Audio-Visual Technician

  • Level 2 will possess the following skills:
  • Able to perform routine testing and problem diagnosis for audio visual technologies.

  • Troubleshoot escalated issues from Audio Visual Technician

  • Level 1 until resolved or escalated to a Level 3 technician.
  • Ability to read and utilize blueprints and audio / video flow diagrams.

  • Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose static and dynamic IP addresses.

  • Edit software code using audio mixer software to calibrate digital signal processor technology and eliminate echo and feedback c.

  • Gather and analyze system logs and system settings for codecs, control systems, mixers, and complex broadcast equipment as needed.

d. Installations:

The Level 2 tech will be able to conduct "Simple Installs" for transactional orders, OFE products purchased through AVI-SPL, as well as hardware currently supported by AVI-SPL under this agreement.

Simple installation defined as or includes:

  • Existing infrastructure with reference drawings.

  • Any tools required to complete the installation must be non-powered.

  • Technicians to be assigned by AVI-SPL to execute hardware installation, device configuration and on-boarding services.

  • All requests must adhere to all local union standards for on-site work.

  • Estee Lauder to provide all necessary equipment, project management and guidance on simple installation requirements.

  • Estee Lauder and AVI-SPL to work openly together to define and refine the simple installation processes and procedures.

  • AVI-SPL to be flexible and work with Estee Lauder on a case-by-case basis on request outside of the standard process.

Items to Consider:

  • AVI-SPL reserves the right to alter work hours and work location as necessary. Work hours may vary based on client requirements and may include travel to various locations in support of the account.

  • This position will generally work on customer sites and may deal with a construction site type of work environment.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-Haves:

  • Effectively communicate with employees, customers and colleagues

  • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner

  • Ability to work and think independently and ensuring to meet deadlines

  • Basic computer knowledge

  • Knowledge of basic signal flow for audio, video and control

  • Valid Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standard

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must be flexible to work after hours and weekends when required

  • Ability to regularly climb and work from ladders, lifting equipment, tools and materials

Nice-To-Haves:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of audiovisual integration experience

  • Formal education in Electronics or related field

  • Intermediate PC troubleshooting knowledge
