Position Purpose:
At The Home Depot, we help doers get more done. To do this, our Learning & Development team creates simple, relevant, and effective learning experiences for our learners. For this role, our learners are our external customers! We have a strong team focused on the goal of development and education through customer workshops and we're looking to add to the team. That's where you come in! This Online Video Producer will help design, develop, and implement cutting-edge workshop programs that build competence and confidence in our associates and customers. You will be part of a dynamic, collaborative team that creates learning solutions to build the knowledge, skills, and abilities of our customers. Interested? Here's what we're looking for:
You have passion and proven expertise in video production and content development, including overseeing all phases of the process from concept to completion. You are creative and leverage the latest techniques & technology in video production. You stay current on industry trends and styles, including social media production. You are a trusted partner who is collaborative, resourceful, self-driven, and able to communicate to a variety of audiences .

Key Responsibilities:
20% Qualifies customer via a thorough needs assessment process, helps clients identify communication goals. This individual stays connected to their "client" throughout the process, providing updates and managing expectations 20% Provides creative direction on production approaches and concepts to meet the needs of the project 20% Manages total scope: think 'big picture" while maintaining focus on specific details of a production (background action, talent performance, licensing and legal concerns, visual accuracy of shots, etc.) 15% Writes scripts, interviews subject matter experts (SMEs), provide edit direction and oversee all post-production work 15% Plans and executes all logistical aspects of productions: schedule freelance crews, audition on-screen talent and equipment rental, etc. May also include managing locations - site surveys, approvals & location fees and acquiring necessary permits. Provide direction to both video crew and on-camera talent 10% Manages the varied and complicated aspects of video production in a fast-paced and challenging corporate environment with very little direction. Make decisions that impact projects while adhering to pertinent company policies, staying on budget.
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
Position reports to Manager, Online Content Development No direct reports
Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors. Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications:
BS or BA in Communication, English, or Journalism preferred, but not required Experience in social media content creation Experience creating training or content deliverables for retail organizations Strong ability to communicate professionally, provide proper context, and tailor messages to a variety of audiences Ability to work independently (e.g., project revisions, solving issues as they arise) Ability to be detail-oriented in the development and QA of their own project work Working knowledge of the home-improvement industry and general understanding of Do-It-Yourself projects
Minimum Education:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED. Minimum Years of Work Experience:
